Had Free Use of A Church This Weekend..

On my latest album I wrote a song loosely based on how I strayed away from religion during my high school years. My parents are very close friends with a priest at my childhood church so I thought it would be an awesome setting for a music video. I talked to my parents about it and the priest was cool with us using the church as long as we didnt touch anything or obviously do anything offensive.

So literally me and my friend has free use of the entire church and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life. Here's what we came up with. enjoy!

Speaking of sherdog musicians anyone remember that guy from a few years back who was pretty old as far as i remember, kinda weird and posted videos of him singing to youtube? (for some reason the word "eagle" rings a bell when I think of him)

Also if you want honesty your voice isn't great and the lyrics are immature. I liked the guitar and tune though

I thought this was a black metal vid with the church being burned at the end.

Left disappointed.
 
People certainly go through many weekends without doing anything that productive. Good for you.

Mind explaining the meaning of the video, especially the scene at the end?

Why is there a chick's blause hanging next to your bed, and what's the point of seeing the girl on your phone?
 
Pretty good.

I thought there was some good editing and some good shots.

My only advice would be to find a way to make your stuff look more like film and less like video. More shallow focus would help a lot on that front.
 
Also, you got a lot of shoes, bro. What was that, 35 boxes or something?

Cameraman was also visible in the reflection of the picture frames to open the video.

Were they using a camera that allowed for shallow DOF?
 
Nice video man. This is what I got from it:

You were molested as a kid by a priest but now you are past it and have a beautiful gf (the one on your phone) and then you go back to the church and complain to Jesus about your past ordeal. Then you see that priest in the dark and he asks you to come with him to the dark room where we all know what's going to happen. But instead of beating him up or being angry, you willingly go with him in the darkness. So basically you were complaining to Jesus for nothing and you secretly liked it and you were gay all along.

I believe the ending could have been a little better if there was an additional scene at the end, where you'd wake up and instead of your gf's picture, you have the priest's picture on your cell phone and you give off a ceepy gay smile and the video ends.
 
Since you posted it I'm gonna assume commentary is fair play

The song is short enough that you couldve just started already in the church and had more time for the imagery
