I agree that all waiters should act professional. I can understand politely asking if there were issues with service after a low tip i.e. seeking constructive feedback, but throwing a hissy fit is stupid and unprofessional.

I would have hit up my friends for the cash, but I didn't really see the $5 as a problem. I'm not big on tipping for alcoholic beverages, and especially at BJ's where a Jack/Coke is already $10, fuck all that.

i'd tell the waiter to go fuck himself get my 5 bux back then take off. that'll teach him a lesson. i wont eat there again tho but there's no need to tip shit especially if you spent $200.00 already. the restaurant/bar should be happy you spent that much there. you could have stayed home and got some beers and meat to grill while saving at least a hundred dollars but instead you gave business to that bar and w/o customers like you they'd be out of business. w/o them, you'd go somewhere else for beer and food.
