Had a waiter confront me outside over a tip

if you tip 20% you should have tipped 40 bucks I tip 25% so that is 50 dollars but I usually split the tip(homo implied) with 2-4 people my bill at BJ's is never the high though I think I tipped 15 bucks last time I went on a lower bill than yours.
after a certain point tipping by percentage is stupid

if i want the 100 dollar bottle of liquor versus the 50 dollar bottle i shouldn't be giving the waiter any more money. he did the same job.

@ROSCONATION

I just bought an Iphone 7

it cost me £1000

Suck on my dick

You use a nokea fone

This reminds me of when I went to Panera a few days ago. I order my food and they ask me at the register if I want to tip? Fuck outta here, tip you for what, bitch? Ringing up my order the same as a McDonald's cashier would do?

If it means avoiding having to tip some entitled :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (NTTAWWT) I will gladly walk up to the chef, tell him what I want and then go and collect the meal and bring it to the table mineself.

Waiters are middle men, don't need them.
Then you can go to a restaurant where there are no waiters.

I go to the bar and get my own drinks, fuck waiting on the waitstaff.

Having that said, I usually tip the bartender $1 per drink for beers and $2 per for fancy shit.

post your w-2 you fucking dickhead.

what's your salary?

I earn more than you
Like I give a fuck to impress some shertard to put my info up if you feel the need to prove how small your dick is. By all means post yours.

I would perhaps judge in somewhat on the location though, if the cost is higher because your eating at a higher class place then I'd guess its more likely the waiter is going to have less of a standard wage(some actually pay to work tables don't they?) and depend more on tips.

If I just spend a bit more than normal at a more standard place then yeah I might drop the tip percentage a bit if it hasn't ment a lot of extra work for the waiter.

My dick is 5 inches you son of a bitch.

You post yours first

Went to a restaurant with a few of my friends last night, just to grab a few drinks and appetizers, a place called BJ's.

We end up staying for about 4 hours, from about 6-10, and for the 3 of us our total ended up being almost $200 (mainly alcohol).

We usually try and go out once a month and every month it's someone else's turn to cover the bill, and this time it was my turn.

So, figuring that even tho it was $200, I figured it's not that fucking hard to bring out 3 damn drinks at a time and we only had 2 small appetizers. I only had $5 cash on me and decided that would suffice considering it was just mainly alcohol purchased.

So after I pay with my card, I leave the $5 on the table, we walk out and sit on the bench while my friends smokes a cigarette and we continue to catch up. The waiter comes out side a minute later in a frenzy, screaming about this and that and how I'm a cheap fuck and how I shouldn't go out to eat if I can't afford to tip and shoves me to the ground.

He ends up saying "$5 on a $200 bill is unacceptable and I should go fuck myself", and then he goes back inside. My friends ask if $5 is really all I left? And I said yes, and they said why didn't you leave a tip on the receipt with your card? So I guess they took his side in the matter and they talked me out of going inside the restaurant and complaining.

How much do you goes tip for drinks? Was I in the wrong?

Cliffs : Went out with friends
Drank a lot
Tipped $5 on $200 bill because mainly alcohol
Waiter tries to fight me outside

FYI I never tip because if people tip they are sheep. Theres no reason to do it and stories like these make me so happy I don't tip.

This actually happened to me a few weeks ago on a smaller bill.

my wife and I went out for Mexican lunch and the service was fucking horrible anyway. wrong order and my waiter had a strong asain accent which was weird at a Mexican restaurant. anyways he was just dumb when it came to things I ordered.

My bill was like 25 bucks or something. My wife and I are in our car and I'm putting on my seatbelt and my wife says babe our waiter is outside the window. I roll it down and he says "why no tip". I just shook my head and laughed.

was weird as fuck

As far as I know, places are not allowed to pay below minimum wage. And if people are being paid below minimum wage, they need to take that up with their employer. You're suggesting a $60 tip for someone to bring 3 drinks from a bar to a table, that's like 20 minutes of work over the course of an evening.

Define good service. Is doing what you're employed to do good service, or is it service? From the story it doesn't sound like it was a question of not tipping for good service, sounds like a question of not tipping for service.

Read the OP again, and it'll answer most of your questions.

As for defining 'good service,' you probably believe the hooker should swallow before you pay her a dollar.

Don't go into bars & restaurant and expect to not leave a tip, or expect shitty service for each time you visit there afterward.

In what world am I supposed to give a shit about this?
The world in which you go see this server for fucking drinks. Your cheap ass should have told your friends that you're all just gonna grab some tall cans and chill on your porch and YOU can play bartender for them. You cheap fuck.

TS sounds poor. I always add a zero to the bill as a tip. 200 bill I would tip 2000

Re-read it, it doesn't answer my questions.

How does that address what you consider good service and not good service?

As I said, bitch made by a 17 year old who earns "below minimum wage".

I don't care to respond to any of your posts until you tip me.

Let's say that worker is making $4/hr, ok. Let's just say that, if I tip him 40 dollars, for 4 hours of work, that's $10 an hour, and then plus his other $4, so he just made $56 in those 4 hours.

That's $14 an hour, almost double minimum wage, nah, he can go fuck himself.
Do you realize what happens to menu prices when restaurants pay their employees a higher salary?

The prices go up which I am 100% fine with, as long as I don't have to pay their employee's anymore. Its not my job to take care of a restaurants employee, and if they need to charge more for food and drinks I'm 100% fine with it. Its the way it should be anyway.

Tipping is an absolutely ridiculous way to make money anyway for 99% of jobs.

Friends should've contributed some tip money since you paid, either way the waiter shouldn't be trying to fight over that, makes that place look bad. No winners in this story.
