Law Gun and Gun Control News/Discussion

I can’t imagine liberals being organized enough to set up any well regulated groups at all.

Lol trumpers were in the Minneapolis thread complaining about how well organized the liberals were with their protests and tracking ICE.

Oh brother. Sun tzu would be pissed, these guys clearly don’t know their enemies. One smart ass trumper could infiltrate and tank a liberals militia by asking that they draw into rank and file based on their privilege. It would take hours of discussion, 3 meetings by the leadership circle and a report by the inequity committee to end up back where they started.

Reagan just sat up in his grave and said hello
Seems a pretty isolated example in the history of the republican party, or am I wrong about that? I know what you're referring to happened because Black Panthers were open carrying around the CA state capital, not necessarily a desire to restrict all Americans.

It isnt isolated at all, even for Reagan who supported bans on assault rifles, waiting periods. See for example the Brady bill which he ad adamantly supported.

In 68 and 72 republicans platformed on restrictions. Nixon called guns an abomination. Bush supported extending the assault rifle ban. Trump slips and forgets his pro gun script quite often.

It’s not isolated and once Reagan started becoming more his version of of pro 2A, republicans started getting a ton of money from the nra and its in part what shifted middle America to republican (see the 94 house election as an example).
