You must of been really impressed by Diaz's performance

I was impressed with the fact that Diaz was able to stop GSP from mounting any offense whatsoever, grappling or striking, from turtle position. I was also impressed with how many of GSP's takedowns Diaz was able to stuff, especially in the later rounds. But overall, not much to see in that bout. From either guy

Were you impressed with Diaz also getting outstruck?

MMA fans like GSP... UFC fans on the other hand......

Well, it's not a good time to be a GSP fan on this board, let's put it that way. :icon_lol:

Between the 2 mods in this forum that can't stand him and the Hendricks huggers flexing their dicks the last few days in full attack mode.

You know when you've reached a certain popularity level when Hendricks fights a guy (Lawler) and the guy who gets shit on is not even involved in the fight and is semi-retired.

You watch, I think you'll find GSP was the one responsible for missing flight 370.

OP has got to be the biggest GSP nuthugger here, and that's saying something

Nuthugger or not he has a point... What other UFC fighter has made a move to a movie of this magnitude?

Randy in the Expendables movies would be the only other real one of mention but the Captain America movie will likely be huge like the first one.

If Arnie could make it in movies, maybe GSP can as well. 27 fights over 12 years. I don't blame him at all for looking for a new career. He has faced (and beaten) almost every top welterweight out there.

Yep, they have a serious inferiority complex about Hendricks but it starts at Dana White from throwing GSP under the bus for looking worse for wear against Hendricks, winning, yet the same exact circumstances of getting beat up in a close fight happening to Hendricks and nothing is said. I love it when irony and karma strikes sooner than later just in time to show everyone their faults.

It's obvious who the one is, but who is the other one?

I like GSP, I just hate his approach to MMA since the Serra KO.

And I have nothing against "the fans" of any fighter. I don't lump people together

like a boss. thanks for the post, tony.

I will just copy their ufc accomplishments from wikipedia.

GSP:

Bold records aren't good.

Anderson Silva

You really think GSP has a better legacy?

Hell, at least all of Silva's decision victories were actually deserved.

Yes he does. You have left out the single most important thing and that is level of competition beaten. GSP has fought and beaten better competition and that is the only thing that matters when talking about who the best is. Of course Silva looked great at MW his competition was easier. Do you remember Nicks win streak in SF? I remember people claiming that he would beat GSP no problem. Guess what he got that win streak without fighting one top wrestler came to the UFC and lost.

I'm not saying Silva was not a great fighter or that he did not fight top guys he just had it easier and of course his record will be impressive facing the guys he fought.

Well it's a good thing that I don't care what others think about me or things i like .

This is tonycpa when he was waiting to meet GSP at the red carpet

I always imagined him to look like this:

thx for the vids! you rock tony!

GSP getting what he deserves :)

Good Post. I dig this movie. I bought a ton of his first appearance (posted the strategy on sherdog and got made fun for it) I think I will crush the profit on the betting thread with silly comics.

Thanks

LMAO! That gif is hilarious. I'm looking to see if his head is shooped on. It literally doesn't move.

I bet you his bedroom would tell the tale. Gun collection? Shrines, manifestos, chemical explosives lab

Next to no damage and didn't pass guard once in 25 minutes.

Not impressed by his performanz

This was the only fight in the history of Cesar Gracie Jiu Jitsu that one of their representatives, a black belt no less, crawled away from a ground fight on 3 separate occasions.

Haha! Old school Cpt America comic reader. I remember the character he is portraying: Batroc. It's been 20 years and so when I heard GSP was playing this role, I thought it worked due to his athleticism, martial-arts skills and being a French speaker.

I noticed the comic character's full name is Georges Batroc. When I read the books, I never knew they disclosed his first name. I am curious if Marvel comics reconned this in honor of GSP. Any one know?
