One of the worst matchups for GSP at WW or MW
Whittaker or Yoel

I believe he can beat Adesanya, Brunson and Vettori took him down and GSP is a much, much better wrestler. But he would have problems with Whittaker and Yoel.

Also, GSP is small for MW.
He put a lot of size when he beat Bisping and Bisping used to be a LHW.
But guys like Weidman, Jacare, Rockhold, Yoel are just much bigger than him.

Same for Gas
The guy has good cardio for MW, has KO power, has a hell of a chin and good recovery
Also good wrestling
But so small for MW

Derek Brunson never took Israel Adesanya down. He went 0/7 in takedowns that's literally a stat on the fight.
Also just because Marvi did take him down isnt a 100% clear indication. This was only his second UFC fight where he has shown noticeable improvements in each fight since. Just to put it in perspective since you're saying it like this, Romero went 0/3 takedowns.

I'd also argue that 2011- 2013 juiced to the grills Hendricks was hitting harder than Whittaker. Not as technical nor elegant but that left was a fucking KO bomb.

Hendricks failed drug tests? News to me.

Gsp gave his word to fight Rob when the fight shouldve played out. Fight not happening now- if Whit beats Till, gsp certainly not going to fight him and if Whitaker loses- c'mon- Dana ain't signing off on fight .I really dont think Georges, at this point, is planning on signing a bout anyway.

yeah, for sure. he's a legit 5' 10". Rob is closer to 5'11 than 6 foot.

I've met Whittaker in person, he's definitely a strong 6'0.5

Indeed, Brunson never took him down. Tavares did once, Gas did once.

True, isn't a 100% clear indication.
Romero doesn't go for takedowns usually.
He was an olympic wrestler, but he rarely uses his wrestling in MMA.

While GSP always used his wrestling and, correct me if I am wrong, he was able to put on the ground all the guys he fought.

I'm one of those who believe that a shitload of fighters were on something before testing became more strict (USADA). For some it was TRT , others it was roids , others it was other types of PEDS etc. Some of the guys did not look the same after USADA and Hendricks is one of them. Was GSP on something ? I think chances are that he was at some point even if he never pissed hot

Do i have proof of this ? For some yes(Jones , Silva , Reem ,Vitor etc) for others no but i base myself on common sense. Also tons of fighters came out and claimed that X or Y fighters were on roids. Imho they were probably correct more often than not.

Imo this would have been a hard fight for GSP. Obviously he had to relinquish the belt because of his colitis but had they fought it would have been a great fight

Whittaker was the interim champion at the time and had just beaten Romero in a 5 round fight. The UFC was planning the unification bout but then promoted Whittaker to undisputed champion after GSP's illness forced him to take a step away from the sport

It’s ridiculous that this Colitis story sits well with all the GSP fans. Colitis or not GSP could have easily defended the belt if he wanted to.

We were talking about the fight between Gsp and Hendricks and how I believe and most others that Hendricks clearly won that fight. If you don't agree please watch the fight (again) if you have already.
Any how I got loads of messages saying how Hendricks was roided up. That was their excuse as to why GsP did not perform that well. So all I did was post two pictures from that fight, one of Hendricks and one from GSP. I wrote underneath, be honest who do you think is more roided in this fight.
That's how I got it for fighter bashing.
