I think the big question is: Can GSP mantain the fight in the stand up ?

If yes -> GSP wins
hell no -> Khabib wins

Okay, i'll put it like this. GSP would take down and hold down Khabib if he chose. He would stand and strike while successfully defending all takedowns if he chose.

Even when GSP was slowing down, cardio king Bisping couldn't translate it into much. Everything we've seen Khabib do in the octagon has been against opposition that is embarrassing compared to GSP. I exaggerate saying he'd stuff ALL takedowns, but I think GSP could get another finish.

GSP would be the favourite, since it's difficult to assess how good Khabib really is. No doubt he is really good, but how good? Just one of the best LW's of his generation? The best LW of his generation? The best LW of all time? One of the best overall of all time? Or totally overrated, someone who soon will have his Ronda-moment? No one can say for sure, where he falls on the spectrum of greatness as of now.

That's why GSP vs. Khabib at 155 would be a great fight if a.) Khabib mauls Holloway and b.) GSP can make 155. That fight would tell us more about Khabib than GSP though.

I would lean GSP but this is a pretty intriguing fight. GSP is levels above khabib striking and has a significant size advantage. hopefully this fight happens

everywhere you saying in the stand up too ?? no chance, Khabib striking is extremely rudimentary (even for MMA standards), somewhat powerful, but basic at best

GSP outgrapples and outstrikes Khabib.

GSP has better takedowns and has proven so against better wrestlers than Khabib has faced. They have the same takedown defense percentage but again, GSP fought some great wrestlers during his run. Khabib has mostly fought primary strikers.

Prime GSP makes Khabib look like an average fighter.
