Dunno man, I'm a Khabib fan but GSP is a strong dude.

I don't think you can hold GSP down the way he held Barbosa.

GSP just beat a MW, and Khabib regularly molests Rockhold...

Basically they both do similar shit, Khabib being sharper at chaining ground shit and GSP being the more rounded guy with his striking.

GSP has one of the best TDD in the UFC, GSP has spent under 5 minutes on his back in all his UFC fights combined. That being said he would take Khabib down and show him how it feels like to be on the bottom, then stand up and jab his face all night.

I think that's true for current GSP. Prime GSP had plenty of gas, but four years retired (and four years older) clearly made a different in his gas tank.

On the other hand, Khabib nearly kills himself getting to 155. If he thought he was competitive at 170 he'd be fighting there. I'm going to trust Khabib's judgement on that, and assume he's simply too small for a top level WW, and GSP is still a top level WW. Even current GSP takes this one; for prime GSP its an easy fight.

Weight divisions are there for a reason. Fighters cut weight for a reason. Size matters.

He's a very good grappler. But why is he doing awful weight cuts if he could win at 170? He clearly disagrees about his ability to take down anyone at 170, let alone 185.

Pretty easy fight for GSP, GSP would not be pressured back against the fence and Khabib isn't going to shoot and take him down. GSP would jab Khabib all night to a clear decision.

That would be a fun fight. GSP tends to do well against other wrestlers though, I could see him picking Khabib apart at range and neutralizing his grappling. GSP is too big for him too, and too rangy. Probably would look something like the Kos fights

GSP is a big and strong dude, amazing TDD and even if you get him down, he works back up pretty quickly, would go horrible for Khabib if GSP can neutralise his grappling.

Guaranteed. Not because GSP would be worried about losing (Khabib is too small for WW, which is why he cuts to 155 even though it almost kills him), but because Khabib isn't a big draw.

GSP did his fighting for title and legacy thing before he retired, he's now doing the typical "come back for more money" think that's common for fighters (think of Ali, Foreman, SRL, Fedor, Mayweather, Roy Jones Jr, and too many other great fighters who retired then came back to earn some cash).
