I agree with the OCD thing. The thing is though, for a guy to have been as good as GSP - You have to pretty much be obsessed with your profession to be this good. The thing, a lot of elite level people like GSP just do not have the ability to "turn it off". He's going 100miles per hours a day, everyday.
Maybe he should go smoke some of Nick Diaz's prescription. hah.
No but seriously, he's one of those people that perfects everything he does. He doesn't have the ability to half-ass something. That's dangerous. The pressure that one puts on their own mind. He's constantly unhappy with his performances. He looks for mistakes in every fight. Here's the most dominant champ in UFC history- I rank him above GSP due to level of competition... but he keeps being disappointed after his wins. Because he couldn't finish here or there. He wasn't happy with the Condit fight that he dominated for 24 minutes and 30 seconds... because he got dropped...
It's really dangerous on the mind. He needs to step away. Look at him. He's a good looking, successful, rich guy... hardworking and comes off as a really respectful guy. And he's single at 32?
The man obviously can't get in a healthy relationship to save his life. He must dedicate all his time to MMA.
For God's sake, take a break GSP. You've carried all this burden long enough. Go take a holiday. Each 20 cakes and fry up everything you find with saturated fat.
He's been great for the sport. Thank you GSP. You represented MMA with class.
Go get some rest. If you come back, GREAT. Always a fan. If not, then so be it. I can't imagine how hard training at that level must be.
I want to know if someone has some inside sources regarding his personal life. Did he just go through a rough break-up or something?
Whatever. I don't want to see this GSP fight. The one who's mentally defeated.
