And his interview on the MMA hour confirms It. He Would much rather match up with Bisping which is a tremendous stylistic advantage for him Then fight a guy who he would have to cut weight for and is a master with his takedown defense and hits like a train.

He knows Robbie is a bad fight for him. And let's be real about this, He is in a way disrespecting Robbie by not giving him a chance to legitimize his title by not giving him a shot at the former king of the welterweight division. If George loses in the middleweight division he can always make the claim that he was the best welterweight fighter of all time.

And I don't want to hear any of that GSP 50 – 45 bullshit because we're not talking about a prime George anymore. This is a guy who has had too reconstructed ACL's And was almost knocked out by Condit and Hendricks.

Point-blank St. Pierre doesn't want any part of a Robbie Lawler fight.

Sitting on lawler for 25 minutes would make him champion. He just wants money fights!

GSP is retired and i'm fine with him doing super fights if he wants but I do agree that Lawler is a tougher match up for GPS than Bisping is.

Nick Diaz was stuffing Georgies TDs and wobbled him in round 4.

Dude hasnt been the same post ACL and he had ANOTHER ACL injury following the Hendricks fight.

Hobbie by brutal KO.

Lawler is a bad match-up for GSP. As for scared? Come on now. Robbie is busy fighting Woodley and after that possibly Wonderboy whereas Bisping doesn't have a confirmed fight yet plus it would be an easier fight for him to become a two-weight champion. Higher reward smaller risk.

Bisping is going to tko him back into retirement anyway. No worries.

Becoming a two division champion and cementing his record of most wins if the UFC does much more for his legacy than beating lawler and winning back a belt he has already won and defended MANY times

I don't get how people make claims like this. GSP has dominated every different kind of fighter. Robbie is ruthless indeed, but that doesn't change the fact that he doesn't have anything GSP hasn't seen. I agree with the person who said he's not ducking him so much as he is going for the higher $$ fights. That's why he wanted to jump Conor's bones for so long.

Nope, stay salty though. After he beats GSP, Bisping will have wins over 2 of the 3 guys in the GOAT discussion and the butthurt on Sherdog will be glorious. Hell, he could probably stop Fedor these days as well.

It's evident by now, GSP has been and still is ducking Robbie... But he'll fight a featherweight, a lightweight, and let's skip welterweight and go to middleweight...

I still think George's return to the welterweight division would be a big-money fight for him. You could sell it as him returning for the belt he never lost. I just think he wants absolutely no part of Robbie Lawler because that would be a hellacious fight for him.

Lawler has his hands full.

He has to face Woodley, Wonderboy and he lost to Condit so he should also be fighting him again.

Lots for Robbie to handle before having to think about GSP.

bispongs tdd is very good, o mean very very good. gsp got boxed up by sheilds no way he beats a larger striker with great boxing and tdd

gsp doesn't need the WW title fight because he already is the WW champ. no one cares about robbie lawler and fighting him doesn't make him any $$ but fighting Bisping does, it only makes sense

Middleweight? You mean that division that Lawler doesn't fight in anymore? That division where he wasn't nearly as successful? That division? That division that's actually heavier than WW? He's going there to...avoid the guy who couldn't win the belt in the 2nd best promotion in the world?

I love Robbie, but this is fucking stupid.
