Connor like him.or hate him was a MO ey machine for the UFC and brought the UFC to so many more places And seriously helped grow the sport more than most or maybe anyone in such a short time.
Whether You were a Connor fan or a hater You wanted to watch. Ufc 200 just shit the bed. If they added 2 dream fights say GSP V Diaz and Bones, v. DC it still dosent draw like Connor fighting a can would would let alone DIAZ . Let's be real I am pretty sure that's the card Fans is going for but I doubt he gets GSP .... pretty sure Bones n DC is the main.
Zuffa is losing a ton more than Connor for this and that's why connor tried to strong arm em for MO money as he knew they got much more to lose. But Dana and Lorenzo are looking long term and think if they do this now then everyone will hold them hostage ... they had no choice but to tell Connor to fuck himself.
I do think there will be a,time in the next 2 weeks for both sides to get back together and talk with cooler heads and still be able to work a 200 card. If not Diaz maybe RDA OR COWBOY. But........... I think both sides here are just stupid and prideful to put differences aside.
Lastly on the money. ....... I agree with Connor he is arguably in the top 3 of the fight game as far,as a draw .....with guys,like Canelo #1 but Connor for what he brings should be getting 20 mil a fight until his drawing power fades.
Prediction. UFC 196. Out sells UFC 200. Zuffa cuts off own nose to spite face. I get why Zuffa did it ...just think there was an option c somewhere to be found and it wasn't even looked for.
