Glad to see Gillespie back but man, they sure are bringing him along slow. I thought he'd get a top 15 fight next.

They're definitely giving Gregor the gradual build, which I have no issue with.

You beat me, merge threads please

And none of the big name lws will fight any of these up and comers. Mairbeck, Vick, Trinaldo, Gregor, Iaquinta, and Felder all deserve steps up

There are 5-10 guys outside of the LW rankings that are legit top 15 talents. Conor sucks for keeping this division on pause for so long.

I'm glad Gillespie is keeping active. I'd like to see him fight someone top 15 if he makes quick work of Pichel though, because it would be obvious that he's a level or two above the competition they're feeding him.

I am looking forward to this fight. Gillespie via UD.

Pichel is on a nice winning streak so I'm on with this but after this one Gregor needs to be fighting someone in the top 10

Gregor is future champ/contender material NO DOUBT.

I have an eye for these things.

This dude has the goods, seriously future champ.

Gregor #47, Pinchel #78.....I agree I thought Gregor would get a higher ranked opponent.

Info per fightmatrix

never heard of them

best of luck

I like how they been bringing him up.This is a good fight too, Pichel is on a 4 fight UFC streak and has looked good in his comeback.Watching Gregor's CES fights I always thought he had really good potential but honestly wasn't that great at all at the time, and he's improved so much the last few years that I think the progression has been about perfect for what you'd want from a prospect.

This is a great fight and imo makes sense on both sides.Imo this is the first super durable guy he's fought in the UFC that'll still be trying to kill you in the 3rd round,I think it's a great test.Gregor struggled a bit in tough fights in CES i'm really interested to see how he performs when it a crazy grueling fight.I agree with you guys though, after this if he wins for sure a good step up is in order.

Big fan of this. Gillespie is perhaps my favourite prospect right now, a wrestling machine with killer instinct. Pichel is no pushover and will make him dig deep.
