Gregor Gillespie vs Bobby Green

I think this would be a nice step up for Gillespie. Green has fought some of Lightweights top ranked fighters and is coming off a win. He also has some pretty good Tdd and scrambling ability. I still think Gillespie outgrapples him for 3 rounds with the possibility of a late finish.

I do agree with you guys but all im saying is, the guys he's beaten haven't had very much success in the UFC and giving him a guy with 9 total UFC fights (5-3-1) isn't a bad idea.

One of the matchups with those Russians would make sense. Gregor said he wants to fight on UFC 223 and the UFC is making a push to make it a Russian card, given the high population in Brooklyn.

Yeah, I think it would be better if he got a top 15 but thinking on it more, it's probably unlike with the logjam in that division. All of the guys say, 11-20 deserve to be in the top 15 but can't get that opportunity. That's how stacked the division is.

If you remember when D.C. got dropped in the HW Grand Prix, many thought he would get smoked. However, you just can not ever count out dat super high level D1 wrestling pedigree, a good gym and a winner's mindset. Call me crazy, but I think Gregor would beat the Poirier, Michael Johnson and Eddie Alvarez type fighters at this point in his career and could right now compete for a title if one were given. We can build him up more, but skill for skill, this guy is just so much more advanced than his peers that have only 10 fights.

Bobby Green is the laziest best LW I've ever seen. He's so frustrating to watch, his style. I would definitely root for Gillepsie

Considering his age though, and how he's blazed through the competition, I think he needs the shot at the ranked guys.

LW is stacked though. 30-10 could beat each other on a given night with a good matchup.
