Finishes are overrated. Riddell is an action fighter and a blessing to followers on the JBG.

I'm a fan of Gillespie but this much inactivity when he's at his prime is troubling. Not sure why he took so much time off but he needs to get a couple of impressive wins quickly before he starts to decline.

Tune up for Gregor, that was a brutal KO loss, probably shook his confidence massively. I think he'll handle Riddell and then fight a top 10 LW.

I thought Riddles takedown defense was pretty impressive in his last two fights. Also, Riddell has excellent cardio. This is gonna be a very tough matchup since Riddell schools him in the striking department.

The problem is he hasn't faced a relentless grappler of Gregor's level before.

In his last fight he was getting taken down early by a not great grappler, and by the third round he was gassed pretty hard. Gregor will wear on him a lot more and won't have slowed down by the third.

If he can keep it standing he'll do fine against someone like Gregor, but I don't think he schools him. He wasn't schooling his last opponent exactly, and he'll be worried about the takedown while they're standing.

Fun fight though.

Beating Mustafaev should get you a ranked opponent imo, that's a very tough win against one of the more underrated dudes in the division, who also spin kicked Fiziev's head off.

Fiziev really deserves a top 15 opportunity after he dismantled Moicano, who could probably beat a few of the ranked guys himself.

You suggested it be Fiziev instead of riddell, despite the fact that fiziev lost in the UFC to a guy Riddell beat, so how is Fiziev more deserving?

I remember Riddell also initiated some wrestling exchanges and looked pretty good.

They both deserve ranked opponents, but I also want to see that fight ASAP. I sometimes complain about matchmaking bias giving strikers favourable matchups against each other in order to produce action fights, but this one needs to happen eventually.

Gillespie vs Iaquinta would have made some sense too.
