Gregolian Memorial *now with pics... hopefully*

Hey guys.

As many of you know beloved sherdog poster @Gregolian passed away last month. I participate in a discord off shoot where a bunch of posters from here are members, one of whom was the late @Gregolian. After Greg's passing we decided we were going to find a way to memorialize Greg.

We contacted the Ogden plant a tree program from Gregs obituary (https://www.lindquistmortuary.com/obituaries/gregory-phancenek) to see if we could find something a bit beyond the plant a tree options and after some deliberation amongst the members and back and forth with Ogden Botanical gardens we have decided adopt a section of the Japanese Garden (Greg has Japanese heritage) within the Ogden Botanical Garden. It includes a traditional Japanese pagoda, a cherry blossom tree, and a bench for quiet reflection. There will be a plaque indicating that this site been dedicated to Greg.

We have created a GoFundMe and thought it would be best to open it up to the sherdog community as our community is unlikely to include all the sherdog posters who were close to Greg who may want to contribute. https://www.gofundme.com/f/gregory-...&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer

@Khabib Khanate
@HockeyBjj
that was nice of you guys, I'll check it out soon. Thanks.

Cheers to everyone that has donated. Even if you cant afford to donate, it has been incredible seeing so many people come together and remember our brother. Greg would have been blown away and touched by all of this.

Events like this bring out the best of the internet -- what a thoughtful thing putting this together. I didn't have a ton of exchanges with the man, but I remember him fondly and will absolutely donate. RIP.

Just donated. Less than $700 to go now. Thanks @Cid for letting us know about this. RIP Greg, you were a great guy.

Well liked even by people that didn't know you all that well. I think you would've appreciated so many people coming together to celebrate your life. We're going to miss you around here, and we won't forget you.
