Just made a similar post in the grappling forum but oh well...
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a blue belt and have been training bjj for about 2 years under B Niimi (a Charles Gracie blackbelt). I did a little bit of kickboxing with Dave Marinoble and his awesome team a few years back as well. Hopefully I can contribute to the forum.
Our school (Placer County Grapplers, a Charles Gracie affiliate) is currently trying to save the Ultimate Training Center (formerly home of Scott Smith and James Irvin) from going out of business. At the moment we are trying to work out a deal that we would be taking over their facility, kickboxing and mma programs, and adding in our bjj program as well.
There's a lot of confusion at the moment with current UTC students not knowing their membership status or what striking classes we are offering, so if any of you guys are posting on this forum...please feel free to call and talk to B or just post them here. I'll try to answer as much as I can.
