Great fights we lost to injuries

I just read on Rumble's wiki page that in 2009, he was scheduled to fight Matt Brown on the TUF 9 finale. He injured his knee and fought that undersized Japanese dude next. It got me thinking, what other fights have we had cancelled. That for one reason or another, were never rescheduled.

Gustaffson vs Mousasi is another one, I was really looking forward to that fight in Sweden. Now with their career directions and weight class changes, its another one we will never see.

The one known as Dan Hardy was once supposed to face the Immortal Matt Brown. Hardy was forced to bow out of contention due to an injury.

Dan was also briefly supposed to fight Thiago Alves, which would have been sick. But one of them had to pull out with an injury. Or maybe that's when Dan's heart condition first came to light. Either way, the fight never happened.

The Barnett vs Fedor fight was a big one to lose though. Lets include PED suspensions/Criminal activity etc if they are good examples of big fights lost.

I'm scouring the internet for news of the proposed Alves/Hardy matchup, but I can't find anything on it... Guess I'm misremembering. Must have been a wet dream.

That fight looks possible and likely for the future. The thread is more about fights we've lost all hope on seeing. If DC beats Jones or something, and the fight never happens... great example!
