Kimber's QC my understanding has made them into even more of safe queens as their reliability is "eeeehhhh"...

For Kimber's money I'd rather by a Springer TRP honestly.

When i worked gun sales about 8 years ago prior to being a po-po, Kimber's were horrible. Absolutely piss poor quality control from what bills itself as a high end manufacturer. We had people return them multiple times to the factory. Even had a few who got Kimber to refund them full price so they could buy a Springfield.

If I was going to buy a 1911 for around $1200 to $1500 I would get Springfield's Long Beach Custom. It's an all black MC operator with black G10 grips.

Dvor sale on axts gear. AXTS changed their name to Radian so this axts branded stuff is at a massive discount.

raptor charging handle - $59
Freedom bone - $59
Talon safety - $49
Trijicon MRO mount - $49
Axrs Black nitride complete bcg - $99

The AXTS bolt carrier is manufactured from case hardened 8620 steel with properly staked 4130 steel gas key. The accompanying bolt is case hardened 9310 steel, shot peened, HPT and MPI tested, and finished in a self-lubricating polished black nitride. Bolt lugs are CNC ground following heat treatment to insure the greatest accuracy possible.

@Stoic1 freedom bone is supposed to reduce suppressor gas blow back in face

I wonder how much heat Geissele is feeling from the LaRue MBT. I can see these binary triggers turning into the next big thing in AR's.

Probably not much of the SSA-E market. Maybe some of the SSA but I like Geissele triggers so I wouldn't try the MBT unless it was on someone else's rifle.

I do like that they did the heavy first, lighter second stage with the MBT like Geissele. Everyone else's two stage is like .5 - 1lb first stage then 2.5-3.5 second stage. To me it's like why get some light half ass first stage and you're still left with a 2.5-3.5lb pull. I'd rather have a clean 2.75# single stage Elftmann.

I'm personally not really interested in binary, maybe if the price comes down a lot I'd try one out. It just seems like an expensive mag dump machine. With practice you can get pretty fast pairs with a cmc, timney, elf, Geissele, etc.

I hear you. For serious shooters I see it more so than for us couch commandos. For a significant cost savings and equally rave reviews would you pick the more expensive trigger? Especially if LaRue expands the product line at similarly low prices, I could see them dropping msrp's or being on perpetual deep discount. I have an MBT and SSA-E. Both seem damn good to me but I don't care for the MBT trigger bow. I've read others really dig it. Truth be told the best two-stage value out there is finding an RRA in the $65-$70 range.

I thought you'd be more curious about the binary. I understand how the price is a turnoff and would expect significant reductions moving forward (with two players in the market and evolving designs). I bought it for both the "pop pop" and mag dumping. I expected one to be more fun than the other and that was true, just reversed. The pairs were fuckin' fun as shit. I'm no physicist, but all things being equal this is going to be faster and with less movement required.

Too bad I can't send you a lower and my un-installed Echo. You could put it in and check it out and save me the work. But "common sense" prevails. :(:(

I wouldn't buy it unless I could try it. I would still pick up the SSA-E. I really don't mind spending money on a good trigger. It is my favorite upgrade and imo the best upgrade you can make. Also wouldn't really want a 4.5# trigger anymore after using lighter ones. So unless larue made a 3.5 I really wouldn't be interested at all. The second stage on the SSA-E is so clean. I can't find any creep. Even trying slowly as possible lightly adding pressure as I go. Same with Elftmann.

I'm sure it is fun. I'd like to try one sometime.

I'd wait to get the SSA-E at about $160-180 on sale though.

Might now have to pull an SSA-E equipped rifle from the safe and put some new snap caps to use. It's either that or move rocks in my front "yard".

I've heard that about their 1911s but I've been impressed with their hunting rifles.

Your buddy get that rifle yet?

The montana in 223??? Yeah, he got it and called me, he was almost speechless. I'll definetly get a share of whatever he shoots with it.

He knocked like 3-4lbs off his hunting kit with it and was able to pass his old one onto a younger hunter whose getting more village responsibilities.

It's crazy how I met this dude, years back after I shot a moose with my dad we were in this village getting them all butchered up, I ended up taking a quarter and the backstraps to the village elders, instantly that got me in with these guys, now they will take me hunting to their spots anytime I want to go.

Nice, that's pretty awesome man. I'd bet he appreciates those two gestures more than most people appreciate anything. The access to land is pretty awesome as well.
