I just don't see how you can call Beniel Dariush a great fighter. The word loses all meaning if you throw it around.

He is a safe fighter taking safe fights on his way up. Its not a bad strategy but nobody cares to watch him beat the lesser known fighters and he ends up outwrestling most of them.

Dude, prime GSP got caught by Matt Fucking Serra. It can happen.

Islam got caught by Adriano Martins (Kajan Johnson's son), it can happen.

Volkanovski got KO'd by some rando in the regional circuit, Eddie Alvarez got stopped by a journeyman in Bodog I think, Stipe got stopped by Struve, etc.

Grant had a tough loss but I like him a lot. He's not the prototypical striker KO artist but he's earned bigger fights with ranked opponents.

We always tend to give up on guys when they lose but the true landscape of fighting tells us that the overwhelming majority thru history will lose and come back better for it

i like the guy but hate the style, i just can't stand it lol.

tbh he deserved it a long ago, but kinda like merab, when you fight like that, and for me merab wasn't boring nor was colby but this guy is, i dont think they try to give you easy way up the ranks.

yes i think so as long as their chin isn't cracked, and it wasn't a bad ko either, don't think he took damage much.

I just think he's really good though. he doesn't get the respect or attention he deserves

It happens. Was never sold in Alvarez as a great fighter anyway. And Stipe is a HW.



I know it happens, but it will take a few very impressive performances for me to think of Dawson as a "great" fighter.

As much as it might seem like I am talking shit about Dawson, I actually like him too. I was just shocked when he lost badly to Green. I was pretty sure that Dawson was gonna run right through him, and I don't like being wrong.

Yeah the way that someone responds to a loss, especially a bad loss, is hugely important for overall career success.
