I just received my Hamilton Air Glacier…I will get a picture with the pelican box soon…I am just waiting for some secondary bands that I ordered…
 
I wish I found this thread earlier, the banned poster screams, "Rolex hater" who spent too long on "the waitlist" and then on YouTube/forums with the other haters in their Rolex hating circle jerks, regurgitating what they've heard others say about authentic box and papers.

Do the AD "games" suck? Yeah, kinda; but at the end of the day, demand still outpaces supply.
 
I finally decided to switch to a smartwatch, so I bought a new Samsung Galaxy Watch7, & I love it.

Total loser, it’s kind of my fault for feeding the troll!

The whole thing with the supply and demand, I kind of gamed the system by buying a solid gold watch first, that put me at the top of the list to get the watch I really wanted (Pepsi gmt). I got it 4 months after going on the list, at the height of covid. That never would have happened otherwise.

The ADs just want to know that you aren’t buying to resell, and it helps a lot if you are passionate about watches. Also if you are local to the business they will prefer you to a tourist. Obviously there are exceptions- I’m sure if Tom Cruise walked into my AD they’d let him raid the safe!

I’ve been collecting for 10 years at this point.

Yeah, post reeks of a dude that showed up at an AD once, was told to PFO, then regurgitated YouTube/forum talking points.

People with actual experience know that gold and even two tone is significantly easier to get at retail, from an AD. No judgement from me, as long as you buy what you actually like and aren't a flipper.

Fuck, I wish I didn't see this. I was at a local AD earlier this week to source a mesh bracelet for my Seamaster, because I'm really beginning to like that look. But I've also started going down the 2254 rabbit hole and have been slowly convincing myself that I "need" one, because I find skeletal hand Seamasters to be less legible in the dark.
 
Apple Watch day to day. I have a couple MKs and seikos that I use for formal events or weddings
