Gordon Ryan responds to USADA end

Which "legit sport" is actually giving a flying fuck about PEDs?

The answer is none. Not a single big sports organization gives an iota of a fuck about PEDs.

They all care. Not because of idealism though, but because of optics and fallout. No team in any professional sport wants to deal with doping scandals.

There is no doubt in my mind there are PED users in all the big sports. I imagine in Football it's probably ridiculous how many are on PEDs. Baseball for sure still have PED users. Hockey probably does, as well as basketball.
Baseball still pops users. Sure there are a lot that don’t get caught. But when you have stars getting popped they’re still popping people. Now, they’re still allowing pitchers to use tack. Which is obvious considering spin rates went right back up.

Point is they will and must have some PED program, even the WWE has one, of course its just a front or there are fighters still beating it, but the US or most worldwide pro leagues have some form of it, they cant just go ahead without one, Boxing for instance does not have USADA afaik, but they do have some and bigger names usually have WADA/VADA (or whatever it is) anti PED programs, the UFC will end up with one of those, its because they have to, also probably cause the AC's enforce it, the same will happen with the UFC, they cant go back to the Pride days of no testing, or fake testing, even if they dont care, of course the promoter doesnt care, specially at this point where the UFC is the stablished MMA brand, the promoter does not care for medicals, the AC does, PED's are in the same boat.

They don't care. They just give off the impression they do. They hope no one will get caught. Not that no one is using.

Yeah I remember that one year MLB tried to convince me Chris Collabello was the only PED user in all of baseball. lol

MLB literally completely stopped drug testing prior to last season before restarting it where Aaron Judge conveniently sets the AL HR record, beating the steroid era players! Several months of guaranteed no one in all of baseball would get tested..... lol yeah i was definitely born yesterday and santy clause is definitely real....

.

Hoping nobody gets caught is caring. As I said before, they care about optics and fallout. Not sure how that is even in question.

I generally agree that they don't care as long as nobody gets caught though.

You’re acting like peds just involve muscle mass and body fat. Let me give you some example, lance armstrong, Barry bonds, Simone Biles. These people were already great. But they become the best by enhancing? But hey, if that’s your hill, be my guest.

No i don't act like that... there's a diminishing return for everything, because the body can't process everything at some point.

So if you're already high in something, you will get a low benefit from doping. On the other hand, if you're average or low, you'll get a huge benefit from doping.

Let's take EPO as an example then : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erythropoietin

If your red blood cell number is already high, you would get few benefits from EPO. At some point, too much red blood cells is even dangerous.

Why are people saying there would be less injuries? Hard to believe that considering the increase in speed and power.

What about longevity... not just in sports but life?

This guy LOL

Stop trying to justify your career pal.

Such a western mindset - “wE sHoULd Be aLloWeD to cHeAT!!” - LMAO

Bet you the Dagestani’s don’t think like that. Fight fair, cheaters should be penalized and should not be recognized as GOATs or Hero’s.

<LeeOne01><JonesLaugh><Deported1>

You know that Dagestan won the majority of Russia's Olympic medals in wrestling (among plenty of other countries they wrestled for) during the period where Russia was caught for wide spread doping during the Olympics.

Zubaira Tukhugov who became famous for punching Mcgregor during the Khabib brawl has failed for PEDs previously and was in the Khabib camp.
Ruslan Magomedov is a Dagestani HW who was one of the few guys who actually managed a lifetime ban under USADA.
Both of these guys spent time fighting and training in the AKA Dagistani fight camps and were linked to Khabib and his team.

That isnt the answer.
This is a very dangerous sport, and if people start dropping like flies because everyone's vitor the fucked out,or are overaggresive in the street more often it endangers everything they worked so hard to build up. Although by endorsing slap boxing,I really dont know what they are thinking anymore.

It's hard for anyone even mildly connected to slap fights to pretend they have any concerns for competitor health and well-being.

I can believe less muscle and ligament injuries but I'm convinced there will be more brain injuries.

Cheating is a Western mindset? Have you followed sports in Russia and China?

If being a UFC champion is more important than your long term health and the ability for your balls to function normally then you don't have great priorities.

Um, ok. You can sit on that hill that great athletes don’t get benefits that turn them into unbeatable athletes.

Just another guy who really thought USADA leaving translated to no drug testing. That's not the case.
If it's the same testing that Strikeforce had with Ubereem, it'll be all good tho

Only read first sentence. He's a clueless moron. Must be CTE.

The UFC will have one of them, no question. One of their employees even stated that they'll maintain testing. The UFC has media rights fees coming up in a few years and they can hardly jeopardize putting their legitimacy as a real sport in question as they open themselves up to bids from companies. They're looking for upwards of a 40% increase on their deals. They just got one for WWE.
