levek what playing field?
He's entitled to his opinion. I wholehearedly disagree. Part of making this sport mainstream is having basic things like drug testing, athletic commission oversight, a living wage / benefits for the fighters, etc. There is still much work to be done (for example, with fighter pay), but the progress and growth is undeniable.
To go back to the free-for-all days of the 90s-early 00s seems fun, but would actually be a regression that could see not just the UFC, but the sport as a whole, lose the mainstream acceptance it worked for decades to attain, resulting in:
- loss of ESPN/other big broadcasting deals/major sponsors
- less money for fighters
-fights taking place in small clubs in unregulated areas
I remember not being able to watch MMA because the cable companies were pressured to take it off the air in late 90s-early 00s. I don't want to go back to that time.
Except it makes those that are already at the top more dominant. But I guess it sounds good. Special athlete are special to begin with. All peds do is make them unbeatable.
Either you are Pro USADA/ strict drug testing or you are educated.

you don't understand the sport, or professional sports then, if that is your honest opinionSo weird how absolutely pumped up the juicers are for Usada to be gone.
the UFC never left the "pride" days. While the "pride" days was going on, the UFC was also part of that "pride." even while the "pride" days left, the UFC was still juicy af. you don't understand how the game works, how the tests are beaten, or how professional sports work at all. this is not a clean sport. this is not a noble sport. this is literal human gladiator cage fighting. The UFC cant go back to the Pride days, anti dopping its part of making it a legit sport, sure entertainment value is part of it like he said, but there is no way they drop testing altogether with USADA, it will go with someone else.
finally, he just says it like it is. if you think he is wrong, then you are either a new fan, or terribly, horribly naive to how this sport works and how professional sports/athletes are in general. you probably believe that vegan netflix documentary with the "clean" eating power lifter. you probably believe most sports are clean. that is all false. what gordon says is true. these guys who can afford it, do it. the lower level guys get caught with SARMS. removing USADA is the best possible thing. this will even the playing field 100%. and if you actually think that Pride FC was the only dirty org out there, let me ask you this. what was UFC doing at the same time? LOL. what were they doing after the fall of PRIDE FC? LOL. What is going on now? LOL. you are terribly naive to think this is a clean sport. Like the great Nate Diaz said, everyones on it.
This guy LOL
Stop trying to justify your career pal.
Such a western mindset - “wE sHoULd Be aLloWeD to cHeAT!!” - LMAO
Bet you the Dagestani’s don’t think like that. Fight fair, cheaters should be penalized and should not be recognized as GOATs or Hero’s.

If your first name could be your last name and your last name your first… I don’t trust you. Also I get bad vibes from people who don’t use paragraphs.
what do you think has been going on from the early 90s until now? think brother.I don’t think a Low T juicer like Gordon Ryan understands the liability of the UFC potentially turning a blind eye to steroid use.
This isn’t the butt scooting, guard flopping, touch butt submission grappling that Gordon plays, it’s MMA and people get hurt. Imagine CTE, injuries, concussions, etc. the UFC is opening themselves up if they don’t go with a credible agency to at least make it seem like they’re trying to level the playing field.
I get it. You're not capable of understanding..

is it cheating if its allowed? have you seen other BJJ competitors?Steroid Cheat cheering for no testing.. Big surprise
News flash IV’s and towel grabbing is cheating. Those are just instances that can be proven. This guy LOL

Which "legit sport" is actually giving a flying fuck about PEDs?The UFC cant go back to the Pride days, anti dopping its part of making it a legit sport, sure entertainment value is part of it like he said, but there is no way they drop testing altogether with USADA, it will go with someone else.
That isnt the answer.1. Create a system where nobody can get away with using
2. Just let everyone use
You’re acting like peds just involve muscle mass and body fat. Let me give you some example, lance armstrong, Barry bonds, Simone Biles. These people were already great. But they become the best by enhancing? But hey, if that’s your hill, be my guest.Good athletes earn far less benefits than average athletes with doping.
Just one simple example : if an athlete can naturally have a low BF%, he would not get any benefit from lowering his BF% with doping. At some point, having a too low BF% percentage is even dangerous.
Doping is a leveling factor that mainly benefits average athletes.

This is even true for women... juiced women are closer in performance to juiced men than natural women to natural men.
