Gordon Ryan responds to USADA end

This is so refreshing to have someone of Gordon's caliber being 100% open, we should praise that kind of behavior. But no, let's shit on him and portray ourselves as the ultimate moral compass to randoms on the internet. People debating about subjective stuff ensuing, comically/sadly missing the point.

Just gonna sit back and enjoy Killer Kadoogan dismantling normies who truly believe they have the upper hand while being stuck in their tiny cerebral box.

but he isn’t 100% correct. He has some good points in there, but the injury and longevity thing is bullshit. Do PEDs help you recover better? Of course, but guys get hurt and have short careers even on steroids. And have long term side effects, afterwards. And submission competitors aren’t MMA fighters, it’s a more violent sport. Moral compass? No, just some common sense realizes that some of what he says is bullshit. Are fighters going to take PEDs anyway? Check on that too, but not every fighter reaches the pinnacle of the sport. You have to see it from all the fighter’s perspective, not just the best of the best.

All these comments lol

Looks like a triggered a lot of people... <{Heymansnicker}>

I never said no one else in the world does steroids except the West.

I said it's "Such a western mindset" to think or act like “wE sHoULd Be aLloWeD to cHeAT!!”.

All countries have PED users but this guy Gordon is such an entitled PED user that he thinks it should be widely accepted because he does it.

That's some entitled, western, spoiled, bratty behavior - "the sport should allow cheaters because I do it" "Hey, it makes it exciting!"

Most PED users have the common sense to hide it or at least try.
Also, I don't believe Khabib and company does steroids - that's not part of fathers plan. <KhabibBS>

islam has already pissed hot lmao.

If your first name could be your last name and your last name your first… I don’t trust you. Also I get bad vibes from people who don’t use paragraphs.
I hope he dies for his sins. On live TV. In slapstick fashion.

This guy LOL

Stop trying to justify your career pal.

Such a western mindset - “wE sHoULd Be aLloWeD to cHeAT!!” - LMAO

Bet you the Dagestani’s don’t think like that. Fight fair, cheaters should be penalized and should not be recognized as GOATs or Hero’s.

Western mindset? Lmao, that is a really awful take. Russia and steroids go together like peanut butter and jelly. The soviets were the kings of juice.

I said I would sit out, but I can't help myself... I'm only questioning the legitimacy of random online posters chiming in on health and medicine in the realm of sports and PEDs. It's a valid concern, not trying to play devil's advocate, but separating qualified information from mere speculation can be a challenge on here. Personally, I don't think I have the expertise to comment on the subject.

Talking about GR's no-filter, in-your-face approach, it's very peculiar to observe the double standard at play in public perception. When Jon Jones plays 'hide and seek,' dodging both tough questions and, you know, certain situations, he faces backlash and a loss of trust from all sherdoggers and their grand-ma's. But then, when a GOAT such as Gordon fkin Ryan (tbh, I don't follow BJJ closely, but he seems to be), is brutally honest, they get shit on all the same. It really is a tricky balance to strike between transparency and maintaining a positive public image, RIGHT ?

But for me, it seems that many posters are missing the point, especially when it comes to GR talking bout the complexities and sacrifices of elite athletes like him striving to reach the top. Instead, they tend to focus on being judges of moral fortitude, all while likely not being saints themselves and holding down regular 9 to 5 jobs. Laughable/sad, you choose. Meanwhile, the intricate journey and sacrifices of WARRIORS, that the same idiots love so much, in their pursuit of excellence, are often overshadowed by these debates full of AIR...

Which makes it very frustrating for me, to the point that Im myself losing time to vent here instead of doing something productive. RIP. Yeah I know, Im speaking like its my day 1 on the internet, maybe Im just too naive and shouldn't engage in the first place.

maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but no one is shitting on him, but he isn’t right on a lot of that. That’s my contention. You are also hearing from a man that is at the pinnacle or close to it, but what will his life look like in 15 years? Will he even be alive? It’s a good question. Steroids and their advocates fall in to 2 categories, folks that are using them still or trying to justify using them after the fact. My favorite part is the men who try to explain their bad health with eating or training hard without acknowledging their steroid use. It’s horseshit, and drives young steroid users.

and lastly, not morality…please, you can do that…but, reality is the thing. For some, MMA titles are achievable, most no. Can you dunk a basketball? No, probably….Then, yeah, you’re probably not going to shrink the gap with drug use…some are just gifted to fight, not just be athletic. Just as some are gifted to play basketball.

Yeah let everyone do what they want so they are healthier.

WWE says hold my beer.

It’s a terrible idea and would make it impossible to compete without everyone juicing. So it starts with the UFC and then if you want to get into the UFC you have to juice. Then so on down the line making it to younger and younger people.

Just a terrible idea all the way around to justify his career. He will blame antibiotics on his terrible health but there’s more to it than that I guarantee it.

wow. just wow. this guy redefines the word jackass.

Yes, because Russian athletes don’t have a long, documented history of PED usage. Those guys give less of a shit about steroids and doping than we do.

Great words of wisdom from a bigot. Not surprised he coached Jones.

Why da fook is this thread about Roidon Ryan still in teh heavies?

Commissions regulate the fights, not UFC. They won't sanction fights without some level of testing.

(Yeah UFC might do it in absence of a commision for say Brazil, but the biggest cards are in America)

So does this mean Gordon is finally going to enter MMA?

The TRT era was insane... Watching vets make amazing career come backs.

Not sure if that will happen again but thank fuck USADA is gone.

"fuckin sport killer!" - Dana White

Ok so you don't have any argument <seedat>

You're completely and totally delusional if you think big teams would not be advantaged without any drug testing.

Doping costs money, the more money you have, the more you are advantaged. But to understand that, you need to have basic logic...
And? You have more money, you have more options for better facilities, doctors, dieticians, trainers, sparring partners, travel etc.

So you're saying the 'western mindset' is that there should be a level playing field while 'easterns' wanna keep it quiet so they can keep an unfair advantage. Sounds like 'easterners' are little bitches tbh
