Cool, so the debate will be down to 6. Looking forward to it.
I wonder if the person who places last in SC will drop out next? Maybe the bottom two?
Carson and Bush are unlikely to drop out

He thanked the president and told people about it? What a dick. It's not that he accepted help from Obama, several governors did. But the Democrat governors and mayors turned Obama down for the optional photograph posing, just two weeks before the election.
Christie accepted, and they embraced. Photos were taken with the keynote speaker of the first evening of the 2012 GOP convention, and Christie went on MSM outlets with kind things to say about Obama, and thanking him passionately for the aid.
All of this, Christie volunteered for, while Democrat Governors shot him down, saying the security would be diverted from helping people in need.

A phone call or a thank you card would have sufficed.
Murdoch called him a suicide bomber so pretty much. His political career likely was up either way cause he is getting termed out of office.
My lord you guys. This is why some people don't take republicans seriously. Being cordial and friendly across the aisle is a bad thing? For fucks sake, we are all Americans and working for the same common goals (hopefully). We may have different methods of getting to said goals, but its certainly not a condemnation to be nice to other people, even if they are on the other side of the aisle.
IMO, Christie knew exactly what he was doing in 2012. Donors and supporters were begging him to enter race months before the primaries because they weren't excited about Romney. After endorsing Romney, he went into business for himself at the convention, pretty much putting himself over, barely putting over Romney. Then the storm hit, and he's best buds with Obama. Christie didn't want to wait a possible 8 years for a shot at the title, especially as rising stars such as Rubio will have a chance to season.
It was rumored or nearly confirmed Christie was Romney's intial veep choice before switching to Ryan at zero hour, catching Christie off guard. Atleast as veep christie would be de facto front runner in 2020.

I would never vote for a candidate (or not vote) based on if they were nice to the other side. That's effing ridiculous that anyone would. As if Democrats are mostly cordial and friendly to those across the isle. The Dem frontrunner has proudly proclaimed Republicans her greatest enemy. Not very cordial or friendly.
Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore has decided to suspend his campaign.
Gilmore's decision on Friday ends a campaign that failed to gain any traction at all, even among some of the lowest-polling candidates among the GOP primary when it was at its largest.
"My campaign was intended to offer the gubernatorial experience, with the track record of a true conservative, experienced in national security, to unite the party." Gilmore said in a statement. "My goal was to focus on the importance of this election as a real turning point, and to emphasize the dangers of continuing on a road that will further undermine America's economy and weaken our national security.
