I booked a two day getaway to Harrison Hot Springs in mid March with my girlfriend. Since I was looking for good hotel deals online, I searched for deals on Google.

Today I'm seeing all sorts of swimsuit, lingerie and hotel ads on my browser. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet since I booked the trip.

Yeah that's the case for the vast majority of people. The weird part I think comes with compiling massive amounts of personal data and using analytics for studying the masses behaviors and running predictions. From a population control and engineering perspective, this will make it much more 'efficient'.

And of course marketing.

From a single persons perspective they'd probably only have to worry if they were to become a person of influence / power then the data could be used to manipulate you.

I can buy a cheap ass dumb phone and leave it off unless I need to call someone and even if they're still listening to me there's nothing noteworthy to be heard.
