Google cancels PETA speech about animals as it may be racist!

I just saw a story on the tv about how a PETA representative was invited to give a talk at google a while back. She arrived but was told the talk was now cancelled because some people complained that talking about animals may be offensive to people facing racism!
This is possibly the most idiotic story i've ever heard in my life.
Apparently it was the 'black googler network' that decided to moan about the talk taking place.
