I work on my laptop in Starbucks a lot. I know little to nothing about computers do to having little to no interest.

Yesterday it asks me if I want to upgrade to Windows 10. I say sure, but not right now.

When I leave, I put my computer to sleep and leave my bag in my car overnight.

While in my car, it managed to DL Windows 10. At Starbucks, it asks me if I want to upgrade right now.

No, later.

For some reason, I can't get online. Other people are on but I can't see the network. My network settings are right.

I decide to reset. Just reset. Not update and reset. Just reset. It immediately goes to update 15 of 17 where it has stayed for half an hour.

I'm about to throw this mother fucker out a window.

I work in IT and have to remove this every Monday. Its included in update KB3035583. Go to uninstall programs, On the left it says uninstall updates. Find this update and remove it.

The actual update is under system32/GWX. Its also running in the backround so if you want to just kill it per session, end this task GWX.exe

You will not be able to manually delete it without editing permissions by making yourself the admin under each file in the folder. I wont go into those details.

Good luck!

I think chrisdiaz is right to be honest

Thanks for the tips.

I shut it down. It restarted 5 times and is now giving me Windows 10. Cortana better be just smoking hot and fabulous.

I'm going to blow my brains out. This dude has been trying to break up with his girlfriend for an hour and their is no music on my phone. Rip the fucking bandaid off dude.

I've come to hate Windows so much that I hope you approach your IT job like the Diaz Bros would.

Why is MS doing this?
