I've always wondered how far Joe Lauzon would've climbed if he hadn't trained all of his life in his hometown. Mayday is a good example as well, basically training in a local gym with no elite coaches/sparring partners whatsoever.

Benson Henderson is the only really successful fighter from The MMA Lab
Mighty Mouse is the only successful fighter from Matt Hume's gym.
Eddie Alvarez is the only successful guy from his Philadelphia gym (don't know the name)
Frankie Edgar is the only successful guy from Renzo's team.
Sarah Kaufman is the only successful fighter from ZUMA MMA in Victoria, BC.
Gustaffson from wherever he trains in Sweden.

I mean, there are a ton of examples of this. What usually happens is once the guys start losing they either move to a more successful gym or they continue to lose.

They're not the " only successful " fighters from said camps..
Either they're the only fighters you can name or you're naming
the most successful.
Not all successful fighters have belts.

Who else comes from DJ gym? And roufusport is overrated. They cant even produce good fighters.
