Team Sityodtong, is a Muay Thai and mixed martial arts training camp based out of Somerville, Massachusetts. The headquarters of Sityodtong Camp is in Pattaya, Thailand. With a well decorated history spanning over 20 years, Mark DellaGrotte has created a space following Master Yodtong Senanan's tradition of care in teaching authentic Muay Thai to practitioners and building champions. Mark Dellagrotte, is a teacher of various styles of Muay Thai such as Mae Mai Muay Thai, Pradal Serey, Muay Boran, Muay Lao, and also Burmese Boxing. This camp has not as of yet produced a UFC Champion but I firmly believe it will one day. It has however been the home of Rick Hawn, former Bellator and Titan FC Champion.
Sityotdong definitely excels when it comes to striking, but is rounding up it's whole MMA game with fantastic coaches such as Mark DellaGrotte, Mark Massey, Mike Gresh and Juliano Coutinho. Sityodong has brought up UFC veterans like Spencer Fisher, Marcus Davis and Jorge Rivera in the past. They do however have quite a few promising prospects now, to name a few; Tateki Matsuda, Bekzod Abdurakhmonov and Rob Font.
Although to some it does not sound appealing due to the lack of high level names, Sityodtong for me is an exciting camp with an entertaining style. They have the potential to produce champions but I would like to see them bring in a few bigger name Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling coaches.
