I dont understand people that say, "Well take a risk go to 155 your were willing to do that for a Mayweather fight" CANELO IS THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! You fight guys at 160 even though you weigh less!! What is so hard to understand about that? If you're not comfortable fighting at 160 or guys are too big then let go of the belt!

I always laugh at this dude now. Talks a lot but won't fight Danny at 68 for a career high pay day.

He is becoming a broken record already. He is barely even talking about his real fight coming up. Saul becoming the new floyd and GGG using his name to sell his fight

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with Canelo's demands but Golovkin should know how the business side of the sport works by now. The b side does what the a side wants. You can gripe and moan about it being wrong but it is what it is. Canelo holds all the cards. He's the champ, hes the bigger star, he has more overall promotional clout.
Floyd had to bow down to Oscar to get that mega fight. Canelo had to bow down to Floyd to get that fight. Sergio had to do as Cotto said for that payday and he was actually the champion.
Like I've said before, Golvkin's stance makes this fight extremely unlikely.

why would he fight Danny Jacobs at 168? That makes no sense. And wasn't it Jacobs who didn't want the fight?

2.3 million reasons why. Even agreed to fight in Vegas instead of Brooklyn.

GGG walks around at 191. Danny at 93. Same size

Do you mean Ward?

Nah. No conversations there. Al hates Shawn (Jay Z). Honestly, Ward beats Danny. I can't find a whole in his game.

No I meant, did you mean to say Andre Ward instead of Danny Jacobs.

Now I see that you did mean to say that, I just had no idea that Danny was looking to fight at 168. He just won a middleweight title in his last fight.

Well, they pretty much are the same size in the ring. There is no need for a catchweight.

He kills himself to get there. Probably settles at 75 in two years. 60 is a rough cut even with a nutrionist

We barely made it for his fight against Ishe Smith. He was 67 when we walked into Main Street (Lou's g ym here)

Just by the looks of him, that is not surprising at all. He is a pretty big guy for 160.

I did not know a whole lot about him until the lead up for the Quillen fight (outside of the obvious). He seems like a good guy, I became a fan.

I could have sworn I had heard somehting about Jacobs turning down the fight, I'll see if I can find it.

Either way, I don't blame GGG. He seems insistent on staying at MW, we all know moving back down (from 168 back to 160) is a bad idea. Especially because Canelo is going to give him 3X the payday.

He is a really good kid. I am Nathaniels( combo of Natalie and his names) godfather. If you ever want to catch a fight drinks on me. Kid has Dannys ears lol

GGG is trying to fight middleweights at the middleweight limit. The catchweights that he has offered are to meet in the middle of weight classes against larger (164 vs Ward) and smaller (155 vs Mayweather) opponents.

In a lot of ways, he is exactly what we all want from every fighter in that he wants to fight the best fighters in his class at the official weight limit right now, and only use catchweights to make superfights.

I find it hard to hate that. If everybody had that mentality, boxing would be more exciting than it ever has been in my lifetime.

It would definitely be nice to see him in there with Ward or Jacobs, but it would also be nice for the guys in his own weight class to fight him.

Please link me to that if you can find it

We offered the fucking fight. I am a little pissed if that is accurate.

I agree on weight. You go up not down. Ruined Chad

I didn't know you were Danny's trainer. That's awesome!

Anyhow, it's something I saw online, probably not something to be taken seriously.

Ruined RJJ too (obviously).
