DarkKnight, is that the course the US Open is being held on?

now we only have to wait 2 months for the next major.....

I think the Players is in between. So at least there's that.

lol, oh look, Spieth remembered he's one of the best golfers in the world.

Since the irons I play are about 16 years old, and have over a 1000 rounds in them, I'm looking to get a new set, does anyone in here have any recommendations on newer sets?

Looks gorgeous. It reminds me of a course that's a few hours away from me. This is year is probably the closest the US Open will ever be to me and I'd like to go.

It's walking distance for me. I'll be volunteering down there all week so hopefully I can get some pics And autographs from the pros.

Just go in and get fit for whatever set you feel best with

All depends on your skill level and how you like the club to feel/look in your hands.

I'm thinking about getting some irons too. Rocking some early 1990's Mizunos. I'm not good, but I'm interning for 3 months at a private country club where I can golf for free after my shifts, might as well upgrade

Taylor Made or Ping

As good as Spieth is, he also always seems to catch good breaks.

I think I'm gonna buy a set of AP1's. My buddy is in FSU's PGA program so I can get Titleist gear for 50% off through him.

I don't disagree, but it's so hard to tell in golf how much is luck and skill. I think his composure is his best attribute, it's way beyond his years, and it makes bad spots look easier.

This week in my work bet I picked Furyk and my buddy picked Kuchar, let's see dat playoff!

US Open preparations well under way. Unfortunately it means my usual running trail is closed until mid July.

US Open volunteer swag came in the mail today. Pretty sweet.

Sweet. I'm buying irons next week, love getting new toys even though I'm a super high handicap

Not yet, gonna hit a few. I tried some today and I hit the Cleveland 588 MT the best, very forgiving and very long. I also liked the Taylormade SLDR, and I'm going to try out the speedbladez and rocketbladez.

I wish I thought about buying irons 3 weeks ago, because I can get anything Titleist for 50% off but I'm leaving for summer.
