Laurentian University, 45 minutes from my home where many of my friends have gone to school has been shitshow for a long time. Please ex0lain how Ford fucked that up. The place it a money losing grand canyon of outbuildings and maybe he cut their huge subsidies, that's all. Hilarious that you think the premier for the past 3 years is responsible for that shitshow.

As for the greenbelt, where are all of the immigrants who seem to only want to move to Toronto and the support structure of businesses for that exploding population supposed to go? It's very rich hearing city people complain about development, when they aren't willing to leave the concrete jungle. You're making such a difgetence in this world with your activism lol.

As for the rules; we could only buy booze at beer stores or liquor stores, that run bankers hours and close on every holiday. Get with the program of every other province where access to booze, which the majority of the population wants, is as easy as putting it in the cart at the grocery store. The only explanation for the beer store and liquor store monopolies was "to preserve good paying jobs". Fuck off with that commy shit. The corner store needs those jobs too and why would we pay stupid wages for a retail job (unionized too)? Cause we are ontario and we vote liberal and share the wealth. Reducing stupid bureaucracy that holds up critical pojects for wasteful studies that only delay and cost $. I see it in my Municipal job all the time. Doubles budgets and doesn't have any positive effect.

The province gets all the mineral rights from everything vale and glancore pull out of the earth...Sudbury gets nothing..thise giant trucks destroy the roads and you pay for it....why are they not saving laurentian? Why should the community suffer because some CEOs fucked up? The guy who oversaw all the deficits that piled up runs the hospital now... if he fucks that place up and that hospital closes... Sudbury is over.

Small/mid sized businesses/restaurants are completely fucked from COVID. Downtown where I live is all boarded up from closed businesses.

I drove by the mall where I grew up. The entire lot of businesses next to the mall are boarded up. Restaurants and businesses that I frequented since I was a child. I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s not only that their boarded up But there’s a gate around the entire parking lot and it’s chained off

In Scandinavia they also prioritize human LIVES by not going into lockdowns. Because you can also starve economically.

Social distacing and mask would be the best measures.

Believe i was thinking like you with that same logic about a year ago till i saw more of my small bunsisnes spots close down. Its easy to be supportive of lockdown till you realize the actual issues of them.
Also.. If you keep lockdowning everything, there wont be much of a economy left unless you prefer having cannabis businesses opening up.

My issue with the lockdowns is that they dragged them out for a year with half assed measures instead of just a 3 -4 week hard lockdown right off the bat. Should have just closed all businesses instead of certain ones...that was unfair.

Lockdowns are one thing. Allowing police to stop people for being out is a whole other story. It’s already been shown that cops can’t be unbiased. What’s stopping them from turning a blind eye to some groups and pulling over others?

Ford is a spineless coward for going along with it, but if you want to blame anyone for these measures rooted in "science", blame the "expert" doctors, who have never once let the nation breathe any sigh of relief. They were calling for strict lock downs all the same with 600 - 800 cases a day with no variants.

I just want to run an experiment, where when a lock down happens, these "experts" don't get paid. Let's see what "the science" says then. Something tells me that "the science" would all of sudden not favor lock downs. There would be a "miracle" where they figured out that exercise and a healthy diet might just do the trick.

An expert can even double dip, lobbying for the union of teachers who want to stay home, not disclose it, and be allowed by expert colleagues and politicians to keep the expert job. There's plenty of blame to go around for Ford too, as leader of those politicians. There's still time for the rest of the Onatrio Conservatives to join up with anti-lockdown ex-Conservatives Randy Hillier and Roman Baber, Jim and Belinda Karahalios too.

I’m not sure about where you live, but many First Nations communities are not close to major hospitals with many icu beds. So it may be easier to just say First Nations is part of wave 1 vaccinations.

Yeah. I have no clue. Maybe there are still a lot of communal extended family living within the indigenous communities in the city? I’m just guessing. So if many families are living together, could make sense. I hope I’m not coming off ignorant with this post though.
