Nurses that were exposed and had to isolate weren’t getting paid... how is that fair?

They were obviously casual or part time. My wife gets paid sick days. Nurses are the absolute worst workforce for blowing shifts by the way.

Also, developing the greenbelt is gross and unneeded. He had said he wasnt going to touch it, but he lied of course so he could let his developer friends have access.

He let Laurentian University get decimated.

Refusing help from red cross to help with ontario vaccinations.

Has botched covid response so badly.

He even failed at making license plates we didn't need.

At least his idiot brother gave us laughs.

You think scheer would have done better? I’m not sure he would. I didn’t vote for Ford, but I can’t even remember his main liberal opponent. Not sure they would have done any better. Is the NDP the only party that could have handled this? Doubt it. Ford isn’t perfect. But the vaccination plan seemed like a decent plan until it wasn’t. I think the lockdown is the smart move. Sucks as it’s just in time for summer almost. Hopefully there is more vaccines in arms by June. Let’s see what happens.

I voted for Kathleen Wynne just so we wouldn't have majority Ford and especially so we didnt have the NDP in charge. And I hate Kathleen Wynne

I don’t think Scheer would’ve tried to do business with China for vaccines so he could suck up to them to get their vote to be on the UN security counsel.

I agree with the lockdown and preventive measures but doing it now is kind of like closing the barn door after the horse has already gotten out .

Strangely enough, the longer this shit drags on the more I find people of all political strips coming together, and agreeing that all our politicians are complete garbage. I cannot think of a single provincial or federal public servant that hasn't looked like a fucking idiot in this.

Strangely enough, the longer this shit drags on the more I find people of all political strips coming together, and agreeing that all our politicians are complete garbage. I cannot think of a single provincial or federal public servant that hasn't looked like a fucking idiot in this.

I'm no NDP voter but I think Horgan has done fine. To be fair he has stayed away from the podium and left it to Dr bonbon.

While whoever would get blasted from either side depending on the direction yes I do for the reason I stated above. We’re in this vaccine mess because Trudeau tried to be buddy buddy with China to get his precious UN Security seat. On a national level it would appear that the rest of the G7 countries had some kind of plan that didn’t include having to dip into the 3rd world country pool.
It rolls down hill so the provincial level has been hampered by having to make decisions based on the supplies/information given. Kenney hasn’t done that great of a job here in Alberta either and Notley would’ve added to her disastrous legacy. Both levels need to come up with a solid stick to it plan and stay the course instead of flip flopping 3x/week.

At some point we will get past this, even if it takes several years. Until then, let's do absolutely everything we can do to fight it. If that means going into lockdown again, so be it

Yet there are hundreds of thousands of people risking life and limb every year for better economic opportunities and a bit more freedom. Odd how perspective changes everything, eh?

Believe i was thinking like you with that same logic about a year ago till i saw more of my small bunsisnes spots close down. Its easy to be supportive of lockdown till you realize the actual issues of them.
Also.. If you keep lockdowning everything, there wont be much of a economy left unless you prefer having cannabis businesses opening up.

Laurentian University, 45 minutes from my home where many of my friends have gone to school has been shitshow for a long time. Please ex0lain how Ford fucked that up. The place it a money losing grand canyon of outbuildings and maybe he cut their huge subsidies, that's all. As for the greenbelt, where are all of the immigrants who seem to only want to move to Toronto and the support structure of businesses for that exploding population supposed to go? As for the rules; we could only buy booze at beer stores or liquor stores, that run bankers hours and close on every holiday. Get with the program of every other province where access to booze, which the majority of the population wants, is as easy as putting it in the cart at the grocery store. The only explanation for the beer store and liquor store monopolies was "to preserve good paying jobs". Fuck off with that commy shit. The corner store needs those jobs too and why would we pay stupid wages for a retail job (unionized too)? Cause we are ontario and we vote liberal and share the wealth. Reducing stupid bureaucracy that holds up critical pojects for wasteful studies that only delay and cost $. I see it in my Municipal job all the time. Doubles budgets and doesn't have any positive effect.

Doug doesn't get all the blame for covid. How does an african variant or any of the international ones get into canada? A plane, that's how. Out of his control. If our prime minister wasn't a drama teacher with zero credentials he would have acted earlier on people entering the country by plane (federal jurisdiction) instead of having pamphlets handed out with great suggestions!

One day you are going to have to realize that money doesn't grow on trees. People who work hard for it should get to keep it, not have it spent by a politician who only cares about getting the votes required to stay in power and have control to reward their pals.

As far as the red cross assistance, that is another joke. We ran a vacvine clinic in my shithole town on wednesday (1st one so far) and did 500 in 6hrs or so and had to stop cause we ran out. Supply is the only issue.
