In Montreal we are still under a 9:30pm curfew. They did reopened gyms 10 days ago. I went every single day. It felt good. Now they’re closing them down anew in 2 days. Reasons? “Preventive measures”. FUCK YOU FRANCOIS LEGAULT.

What is the end game here???

Now, I know some would say it’s the gym and “high risk” or whatever, but that’s not the point.

I have a seen tweet on twitter where polticans in quebec are supposedly going to secret restaurants? yet they are somehow finding that going to Gyms or small businesses stores you will have more chances of being infected? that logic makes no sense.

And now our polticans have send the children to do school virtually and guess what? kids needs socializing, not everything can be done virtually at home for school.

Looks like a full grounding now.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-stay-at-home-order-covid-19-1.5977646

Compared to what a lot of places have had to deal with our numbers are surprisingly low.
Ontario Poputation: 14.57 Million.
  • 370,817 total cases (2.545%)
  • Resolved : 335,983 (2.306%)
  • Deaths: 7475 (0.0513%)
  • Active Cases: 27,359 (0.1878%) or roughly 2 in every 1000 people
  • Hospitalized: 1,397 (0.0096%).
  • ICU: 504 (0.0035%)
  • Ventilator: 311 (0.0021%)
https://covid-19.ontario.ca/index.html

What we should really be concerned about... 500 people in ICU overloads the system. 3.5 people out of every 100,000 people crashes the system.

Compared to the US with a population of 328.2 million. They have had 30.9 million cases total. 9.4150% of the population.

And US states are reopening stadiums while we are continuing lock downs. I expect the entire country to follow Ontario's lead within the next two weeks

And there will be a fourth wave and filth wave. And two more if not four more lockdowns at this rate.

The media have being fear mongering about hospitals being overwhelmed. Yet where i am i dont see them being overwhelmed. They have being claiming that since the second lockdown. What i am really hating about whole this how they are relying all this on a protection modeling data system.

Please lock us down!

Please keep us safe!

Please take care of us, we're scared!

Please tell us you're looking after us, please!

You scared little child.
I am sure the polticans are so scared yet they are problary dining out somewhere in secret restaurants. We are now into nearly 14 months of these lockdowns in the province.

There hadn't been 14 months of actual lockdowns.

Basically everything has been open 75% of the time. Otherwise it's just been varying degrees of poorly thought out restrictions.

Dude where i am several small businesses shops have already closed either temp or for good.

Would have you preferred something out what the communist Chinese gov has being doing with their lockdown? and seriously you can not compare NZ island population to a population of a continent like North America.

I know you are going to say " We should have done what NZ did" yeah if Canada was like NZ. These lockdowns and restrictions arent going away.

Ford's long drawn out half measures are what got us here.

Shorter Hard full lockdowns are they way to go, IMO. Like we did the previous March. Many small business are suffering becaue they uave been unfairly closed for so long..like barbers and other personal care services... while malls were left to open.

We had a pretty much a full lock down from boxing day until after the first week of February. You're blaming Ford and I have already shown a couple posts above the data on how low our number actually are. So which is it.

I had a feeling your pro lockdowner.

Right and? its because these lockdowns are supposed to hurt the economy.

haha no. Unless you want the economy to go even further to the toilet. Meanwhile journalists haven't expenreiced the same lockdown as the rest of populations who live in apartments and homes with home owners struggling to pay off their rents and mortgages.

Somehow journalists have no problems pushing more restrictions ignoring the mental health impacts of the lockdowns on the people.

Doug Ford did the same things to restaurants. Opened them to 50% capacity indoors. Patios. Restaurants hired staff , ordered stock for the next few weeks and then got shut down. Apparently, it's a scarey situation. I dont what fucking information or chart he got 2 weeks prior that led him to make the decision to open if it was trending this "bad".

<{hfved}>

Why would the government want to hurt the economy?
Ah because the Saint government actually cares about People's health? is that the nonsense your going to say next? like how they cared so much about international students and so many international students are stuck in Canada and Ontario and gov doesn't give a crap about them?

Takeouts for bars and restaurants are ridicules as they wont work the way same compared when the doors were open.

And your asking why the gov hurt the economy? are you really that ridicules? what makes you think these lockdowns actually even help the economy! when its the opposite.

We are going back talking about another lockdown in the summer and winter.

In Montreal, we're now being asked to wear a mask pretty much all the time at work. The directive just came out.

You didn't answer his question.

Lockdowns are political death. We've seen politicians who laugh off security measures enjoy wild popularity as a result.

Why the hell would a politician kill his own career pushing measures everyone hates?

What are they gaining?

I hear people say government loves the control and they'll never relinquish it, but what sense does that make? This isn't control.

I've hear other paranoiacs say this is just a test to see how far they can push us. Does anyone honestly believe that?
