Don´t think the risk/reward ratio for people 40+ is bad for the vaccine, the problem is these wild claims about vaccines stopping the spread, with young people having to vaccinate to protect the elderly. I think we need to protect young people not the old, the old should stay safe, vaccinate and not gather until there is proper treatment. It's clear that the efficacy of those vaccines drops a lot after 3 months, study after study have shown, we can´t keep using boosters shots without an actual study on them.

It's so chilling to hear these power-hungry sociopaths talk. This one seems to be getting a perverse thrill out of the whole thing.

People are very divided over vaccines, especially their mandates, but I bet the percentage of people that think this guy needs his face caved in is on par with the survival rate of those getting infected.

Wait till the mandatory boosters come out in the west, and flu season takes hold in November/Dec, it's going to get ugly. Even the fallout the current mandates is going to get ugly, especially with POC. BLM riots will look like a primer.

No evidence that it even slows down variants or lessens viral loads yet. There is zero correlation between case count and vaccination rates. The vaccines are effective, for a few months, at reducing symptoms. There is no compelling evidence they reduce spread at all.

Ted Nugent has opened up on his recent battle with COVID-19, saying he’s “never been so scared in all my life”.

Nugent announced earlier this month that he had contracted the virus, before denying that he had previously called coronavirus a hoax. The controversial right-wing singer has attracted criticism for his views on the ongoing pandemic over the last year.

Reflecting on his experience with COVID in a new edition of his Ted Nugent’s Spirit Campfire show, he said: “I never am a sympathy guy. I’m a tough guy. I’d rather err on the side of ‘tough guy.’ Five [or] six days ago, it was really scary. I didn’t think I was gonna make it. I literally couldn’t function for about 20 hours, and then they came and they rescued me… I’ve never been so scared in all my life.

“I’ve had the flu three or four times in my life,” he continued. “I’m in bed and I’m giving birth to swampage — I mean, I go through six boxes of Kleenex an hour. Okay, that’s the flu, and you’ve got a headache and you’ve got body aches. Maybe you’ve got some diarrhea, and just overall pain.”

Nugent added: “I don’t struggle to express myself. The six-foot-two, 225-pound headache [this time] was like nothing I have ever experienced. I mean, from my tip of my toes to the top of my hair, I literally was dizzy and weak and struggled to get up to go to the bathroom. And I would lay in the bathtub a couple of times a day with the water as hot as I could take it just to divert.”

After reporting that he had contracted COVID, Nugent denied saying that the virus was “not a real pandemic,” and hit out at press reports that detailed his stance on coronavirus.

“Saying that I claimed COVID-19 was a hoax. False,” he told fans on Facebook Live. “I’ve always said… We have actually footage of me saying, if not hundreds, thousands of times… Of course there’s a Chinese virus. Hello? I haven't seen the reporting, just the numbers. 55,000 covid deaths is ridiculous. My state has had 4. Sure, we have one twelfth the population (and the median age of Florida's population is 2 years older), but that still looks awful.

The 55,000 does look bad but there were a lot of issues with how they reported Covid deaths and the amount of people who died from other things but tested positive for Covid. We even had one of our local hospitals really playing up the Covid deaths by going on about how they had to bring in a morgue trailer because the morgue at the hospital was full, they left out the fact that their morgue can only hold 4 bodies. Fox 13 in Tampa was using photos of the Italian ICU from last year claiming it was a Tampa area hospital and when they were called out on it. They claimed they used the wrong photos but never provided what were supposed to be the real ones. There was a whole lot of mess ups, misreporting, and other issues related to it but they have to frame in a way to make Florida and more importantly DeSantis look bad.

Seems strange that your hospitals would exaggerate the death count. That's something that should be very easy to verify (it's why murder statistics are about he only reliably comparable crime stat between nations), and it wouldn't just be making De Santis look incompetent after all, since they are the ones actually providing the front line care. Presumably De Santis could have your department of health investigated if he thought they were misreporting deaths for political impact.

Edit: It looks like the political heads of your Health Department have all resigned, so I assume it's the De Santis government that will select their replacements?

I'll be the Sherdog unvaccinated guinea pig for how long immunity from a prior infection lasts, so far we're 11 months in.

My work makes it impossible to avoid people in buildings. Plus I'm an arsehole who bowls around like its pre 2020. There's zero chance I haven't been in contact with people spreading.

I was recently in a large group of which 3 guys got the delta, I either got it and didn't realise or immunity is too strong.

Lol they want 100% vaccination at this point. A control group is out of the question long term which is strange considering it should be a huge part of the soloution

They were classifying everything as Covid, people joke but they even classified a guy who died in a motorcycle accident as a Covid death because he tested positive post mortem. The hospitals had great incentive to label them as Covid related to get paid by the government. We even had a lot of issues with just positive Covid case reporting. Several labs were caught not reporting negative cases, a VA hospital reported a very high positive case rate but when pressed about it, said there were decimal issues and the positive cases went way down. You also had people saying that there was underreporting as well so it is just a big clusterfuck and most just want to exploit in some way.
