I'm not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic, but I will respond as though you are being serious. It is usually during emergencies when governments and the corrupt take the most advantage of their power. Have you never heard of Naomi Klein's book Shock Doctrine? The book does a pretty good job giving of analyzing how governments and corporations use tragedy to increase profit and power. I find it bizarre that almost nobody on the left is applying Klein's ideas to the current covid hysteria when they will otherwise apply it to everything else.

What are your thoughts on the Polish embassy and what they claim is going on in Australia?

It's a bunch of libertarians doing a bit of political theatre (it's not the Polish embassy). Presumably for the benefit of their home audience (they were at the Australian Embassy in Poland).
The fact they'd compare Australia to North Korea means they either had no intention, or no ability, to make a remotely sensible and non-hyperbolic comment.
The young looking guy refers to himself as an "anarcho-capitalist", despite being a member of parliament. So presumably he's against governments doing pretty much anything.

As a Floridian and someone who travels all around the state, the reporting about the state is ridiculous. There are people sick and some people do die but if you believe everything you read or see on the news, all of Florida should be empty and everyone who lived here should be dead.

I haven't seen the reporting, just the numbers. 55,000 covid deaths is ridiculous. My state has had 4. Sure, we have one twelfth the population (and the median age of Florida's population is 2 years older), but that still looks awful.
