It's alright, I had 7 vials of blood drained out of me the other day for tests, a quick stab up the nose I can cope with. It's just a bit unpleasant, Biden requiring us to get a negative test 24 hours before flying home from London is more unsettling, Heathrow testing didn't know its ass from its elbow, I was sent from terminal to terminal with proper dodgy hips and it was only because I really went mental I even got tested at all being I'd missed the deadline.

Most of the pre-pandemic data I've read on ERs in Canada indicated they were running on average at 60-70% of resource/capacity. Given the hysteria one would have easily assumed that nearly all of them would have seen a 30-40% spike and literal collapse from the pandemic. But that didn't happen, a few spots had to move some people, as we've done previously when also not in a pandemic. The biggest factor not spoken to by the media is not the availability of equipment and physical resource to address hospitalizations, it's the lack of staff to facilitate it. Then they go and reduce those same staffing levels even more by firing vaccine hesitant health care workers to virtue signal on an experimental vaccine that doesn't prevent transmission and never did. We're in peak clown world.
