In other words, you don't know shit about how missile defence systems work, but want to bullshit everyone on how the US has some super duper secret system that they're just waiting to pull out of a warehouse when they need it. If you don't even know that the US navy has the best missile defence since it has a) the most powerful radar & guidance systems and b) the interceptor missiles with the best kinematic performance, you're completely ignorant on this particular topic.

If you don't think that America has top secret programs that are years ahead of what the public knows about, then you're not very bright. And the US has some very capable missiles, so your first post acting like we don't is just flat out wrong. Let me guess, you think Russia or China has them? lol.

This Golden Dome system probably won't come to fruition anyways because Trump says a lot of shit that never happens.

This hurts because it's true. Like most things it's based on a nugget of good intentions but it'll just lead to more theft by those that support all sides of politics in the world.

We do need advanced protection probably sooner then later though, but it'll be outdated in a few years no matter what

As I understand current us ground based midcourse defense has a 50% success rate... in very controlled tests... So the idea that are going to magically scale that up to that > 99.9% number needed is pretty silly.

It is just not realistic when you are talking about defending against thousands of missiles plus you have to factor in all the penetration aids like decoys, chaff clouds, cooldown shrouds, radar jamming, mirvs, marvs, cruise missiles, hypersonic glide vehicles, nuclear powered underwater drones, stealth warheads, emps and anything else scientists invent in the future. Sorry MAD is not going anywhere.
