Gokhan saki on UFC departure: the training along with injuries was too much"

Saki was just on mma hour, he opened up about his departure from ufc. He said they didn't cut him, but he told them he couldn't do mma no more cause he had both knees injured and elbow and the training really took a toll on his body. He also said the distance for mma was very difficult.

He returns to kickboxing this Saturday at Glory as he faces James McSweeney in the Co Main.

Wrestling/grappling with bad knees is brutal. Now imagine having bad knees and being on the learning curve for competing in the LHW division.

As a K-1 striker, his striking level was simply too inferior to make it in MMA.
