Going to Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Hi all.

Coming to the US for the first time specifically Wisconsin from Philippines. Where can I train bjj that has good competitive nature? I will be there for 3 weeks.

(I am a blue belt for 2 years already, training consistently since 2014)

The only gym in Stevens Point is called Neutral Ground Stevens Point. I've never been to that location, but the black belt they train under (John Friedland) is excellent, and the other Neutral Ground gyms around eastern Wisconsin are all pretty great. I think NG Stevens Point is run by a purple belt.

I'm about an hour away, so if you want to drop in at our place, pm me, and we won't even charge a drop-in fee

I'll second Neutral ground. I've rolled with Mike (purple belt) at a seminar before and he is solid.

There is not a ton of BJJ in that part of the state. There is apparently a class in wausa (about 30 minutes north) but I don't know any of the instructors there. If you come towards milwaukee / madison there is a number of good schools to drop in at.

what and where is your gym? i will probably stay in hampton inn (whereever that is) i look forward to training with you guys!
