I'll be giving my top 5 GOATs in each weight class, simple enough really. While I exclude guys who popped for PEDs from my P4P GOAT convo, they will be included without bias on these rankings. Having the number 1 LHW not be Jones, or number 1 MW not be Silva just feels wrong and dirty. I won't be providing a summary with the OP, so if you want my logic, just quote the ranking in question.
Honorable Mentions will be a guy or multiple who could slide into numbers 3-5 depending on the day in my opinion.

All that really matters is who is the best in each weight class today ...in 2021.

Most of these guys listed were the best. But comparing eras is automatically unfair.

Matt Hughes is a great example. Amazing accomplishments ... would be lucky to make top 15 today.

Its as silly as P4P. Make believe.

Title defences I assume. Chuck vs Rampage is close. Denis Hallman has 2 sub wins over Matt Hughes proving head to head doesn't always tell the full story. For me to be GOAT in the UFC since there have been so many other Orgs to come and go it all comes down to title defences. Its much harder to defend against #1 after #1 after #1 contender then it is to win a title fight against one specific opponent. Staying motivated, hungry and focused when facing each contender who is at the peak of their career and have been focusing on you for a long time. That's what separates GSP, Jones (PEDs aside), Anderson (PEDs aside), Aldo & MM from the others.

The issues I have with title Defenses being used in the Liddel VS Rampage argument is, Rampge beat Liddel prior to his title run, than KO'd him to end said title run. Not sure how it holds much wait. Denis Hallman didn't do enough outside of those two wins to be considered greater than Hughes as far as your analogy goes

Chuck was exiting his prime whereas Rampage was still in his. Really though Chuck and Page can be interchangeable on an All-Time LHW list

Page was close to the end of his prime when he lost to griffin, The end of his prime to me was his Rashad fight, and that was only 2 fights after he lost the belt to Forrest. And a those two fights were a KO of a very past prime Wand and a competitive decision win over Jardine, who hasn't won a single fight in a major MMA league since. Rampage was at the later part of his prime vs Griffin
