Who said in an interview that prime hulk didn’t get the same reaction as prime Austin? I’m literally asking.

I saw prime Austin live several times during the attitude era. Never saw hogan in his prime live but saa him when he came back to WWE and ditched the nwo colors to go back the yellow and red. It was one of the loudest pops I had ever heard in my life.(not the one below, I’m referring to a house show in Anaheim)


also I think what might confuse people is the audio in the 80s wasn’t as good as during late 90s. Look at a lot of the hogan stuff you can visually see everyone losing their minds. But the audio doesn’t match the intensity you are seeing visually compared to the late 90s. I imagine they just got a lot better at mics catching audience reactions.

I saw Hogan in his prime at Brendan Byrne Arena multiple times and his pops even at house shows were always monstrous and the crowd would stay standing and cheering while he did his post match routine for as long as he'd keep it up. And would compete to be the loudest side of the ring during his pose downs. If I was on the side he did Most Muscular for, it was a good damn night, Lake.

Hogan easily. Seeing guys twenty years younger than him limping around from throwing themselves through tables reallly makes you appreciate how smart Hogan was as a worker.
