Based on the open scoring from round 1 & 2, Scheinson should get the decision even if Thongchai won round 3. He's carrying body damage into the final though.

He should have been deducted a point for the clinching.
 
Wow, I am surprised. Would like to see those scorecards. I guess it's possible depending on which judges had Thongchai ahead in those first split rounds and also scored round 3 for him.

Edit- I am going to watch the replay tomorrow as part of me thinks that it is not mathematically possible that Thongchai won that based on the open scoring, but maybe I am wrong.
 
This decision doesn't go along with the Hemmers Gym conspiracies...

i dont think so

he was afraid to knee when he was in close distance,thats why he was opening his arms and not holding Alan with them for most of the time


he was pretty much doing not wrong,sheison could push and start the action again almost the whole time

the problem is that this immediate clinch+knee rule that not a single referee understands how they should deal with

two judges had it 20-18 Scheinson and three had it 19-19 going into the third. so the fight was tied.

he was throwing his punch, opening his arms and walking foward like a zombie to hug Alan. It's not on Scheinson to disengage a passive clinch.

He still has his muay thai mindset of finishing his combo of with clinching, instead of staying on the outside after a technique.
 
These Fairtex gloves are so much better than those giant pillows from Hayabusa that they were using...

oh please man have you been hired by Glory? he was clinching after exchanges like every kickboxer does and he was holding back doing anything out of fear of losing a point. only difference is other guys hold and wait for the break.

Well it was more innactivity and lack of how to kickbox than clinching imo

one thing is sure is that he cant fight at medium-long range for more than 15 seconds

obviously not, because glory didn't deduct him a point after warning him like 8 times.

And not sure which fights you are watching that have so much bullshit clinching, other then maybe Levin vs Marcus.

It's the difference of both kickboxers pressing the action and getting in a clinch and one fighter looking for a way out after a combo because he can't stay on the outside.

He kind of did it both ways. Effective clinching and stall clinching. Overall fucked up the flow of the fight.
 
I think Danenberg won round 3 and therefore the fight.
