I am all for responsible gun ownership, but there's no way I could ever have something like that in my house. As cool as it is, I think it's an insanely bad idea on general principle.

The number one message that you teach a child (or anyone for that matter) when teaching them how to handle firearms is that guns are not toys. Then these guys go out of their way to make a gun look like a toy.

It's completely the wrong message and counterproductive to being a responsible gun owner.

I know. I was just saying that for me it doesn't matter because legally the only reason I`m even allowed to own an hand-gun is for target shooting at a range. Otherwise it has to be under lock and key. So in this case stricter gun laws morally opens the door for ridiculous shit like this.

I don't think you're understanding my argument at all. If I owned a family friendly gun range, I don't know if I'd allow that on my range. It's not a matter of how well secured it is, it's that I don't want kids seeing a guy who made his gun look like a toy. Sends the wrong message to kids that guns are toys. That's the argument.
