Global-MMA Rankings (Outside UFC) - January 2019

Ray Cooper just lost and is not ready to be on that list

Updates made for Bellator results based on your two previous posts. Cooper update for the loss will be made next month.

Wheres tumenov?

He was in the rankings prior to going to the UFC. He was then ranked again but was passed up. Maybe one day in the future he will make his way back to the rankings. He has been on a bit of a tear.

Why did you up Eddie Alvarez to #1 without him fighting and not have Chandler be #1 after defeating your previous #1

Updates for December made.
Looks better! Don't take it personal just trying to help you get the best rankings. Think of it as scrutiny on a peer reviewed study. Cheers bub.

Since Eddie holds the last victory over Chandler I put him ahead for now. Chandler could take the top spot with his next fight. I'd like to see him fight Gustavo next from RIZIN.

Yeah, you could make a good case for Narkun. He did beat a top talent in Mamed twice among his other wins. It is a toss up for me. I gave Jiri the nod after his most recent win at RIZIN.14. I had Narkun over him until this most recent win.

Thanks for the update. He will be removed from the rankings next month due to retirement.

Absolutely, I appreciate the comments. That is why I post them up here is to get some feedback and to share with everyone and add their input into future rankings.

How the hell is Roy Nelson's fat ass on there nland Crocop isnt

Updates made. Chandler is above Primus now. I accidently posted the December rankings. These are the January rankings. PFL finals will be included next month.
Good stuff bud... Lot of (outside UFC) MMA action to look forward to in 2019.

Am I missing something how can john salter be #7 if Rafael is only #9?

I believe I had Salter pass him up after his last victory. I know Lovato has a "W" over him but that does not always mean you stay under the guy forever.

It's your rankings but imo to disregard a head to head fight that happened in September 2018 (it's one thing if they fought years ago) doesn't give your rankings much credibility.
Hell you don't even have Njokuni as an other contender but a win over him erased a recent submission loss?

I didn't disregard his fight in September. Many times I will keep a fighter under a fighter that beat them for a while but in this case I gave him the jump above him in the rankings. Njokuni was in the rankings before. He got passed up though.
