Well, as a left-wing atheist all I've got to say is good for you. You did the right thing by her & I think you should keep it up for a while. Because I think she's testing you to see if you're really serious about her or if it's all about the sex. So, I'd give it a couple-few weeks to show her that you really do care about her as more than just a booty call or FWB. Then revisit the conversation. By then, maybe you'll have shown her what she wanted to see.
And, if she's still firm on her just friends stance, well, then you might have to cut your losses & move on, my friend.

If you don't want to be in the friendzone, why are you hanging out with her as a buddy?

Make your intentions clear. If it's a no, then move the fuck on, and stop all contact with her. It's obviously hurting you emotionally, so why put yourself through this?

If she can't have you as a church/phone/text friend, then maybe she'll want you when she realizes you're out of her life. It's a proven technique, so long as she has interest. She knows she can have you anytime she wants, so you're making it easy for her to string you along. You'll never know unless you let her go, at least that has a shot at working.

You really should move on for your own benefit/sanity though, and options for someone who wants you. Playing games like that is always bullshit (not saying you are, or will).

There's no such thing as a soul mate. Most relationships end, and divorce rates have always been high. You can't find someone else when you're allowing yourself to be hung up on some chick that doesn't want you.

I've made my intentions clear. She knows. She wants to wait. It's fine with me at this point. I've been in enough loveless relationships to not give a shit and move on but I dont want that this time. I want this one and I will fucking fight for it. That's why I'm asking for advice. I'm aware I should move on but I dont want to. Not yet. I do love her. Fuck it. I said it.
