She was never "mainstream". She got a shot in "Haywire" in prime sexy Gina form, and it tanked. That was her shot.

She's done alright for herself, though. Hell, "American Gladiators" probably put a nice stack into her bank account. Not everyone is gonna be a big star, but if you bounce around with a recognizable name for a bit, you can cash in pretty good in La La Land.

It made money so I’m not sure you can say it tanked. It was also critically acclaimed but a bunch of people rage rated it on IMDb years later which is why it only has a 5.8 score.
