Aldo's TDD looked stellar as always..... That balance and ability to limp-leg the single is just incredible. Stats say Aldo stuffed all of Frankie's 11 takedown attempts.
And remember that this is the same Frankie that out-wrestled Bendo at LW.

I think Aldo did get taken down twice by Chad iirc, but in both instances Aldo either reversed to mount Chad, or quickly got right back up.

edit: Chad only took Aldo down once it seems.

Damn I could watch that gif all day.

Once playa, in the 5th round. Chad times a double perfectly and had him on the ground for probably like 50 seconds before Aldo got up and continued to give Chad that work.

I wonder if he has any takedowns? He would easily smoke the Mc with takedown threats.
 
Aldo has some of the best takedown defense ever in the sport. It's really amazing to watch, almost hard to grasp how it can be so good.

The only takedown I can recall right away is the one Aldo landed on KZ, and that was with double underhooks IIRC.

However, I would be extremely surprised if a guy like Aldo didn't have a really explosive double leg if he truly wanted to make use of it. With his reflexes and timing in general, mixing up a few reactive level changes into a double leg here and there would work wonders.

I really wrote aldo off to be honest. But the man is savage. Props to him, he is truly amazing.

Only disappointing thing bout this fight was seeing Conor fans post here after, who don't know shit about ultimate fighting saying this fight was terrible and boring?

I have already seen someone talking down about his wrestling since this fight. I think he called Frankie "average" or something like that.

Because Frankie is a former LW champ who has taken down guys bigger than him his entire career.
