There is another angle they showed where the ref wasn't in the way. Johnny was definitely looking to kick Ledet in the body as he was on his hands and knees. But as Johnny starts coming in with the kick Ledet falls over to his side and starts to curl his body which put his head in line. Good thing the kick missed tho.

When you want to kill somone , in hand to hand combat u kick him or stomp on the head..
