I can't believe how I skipped over Strickland's early career even though I watched most those fights live. I never was particularly impressed with his skill set, but he proved me wrong. He's one of those guys I never saw coming and thought he was overrated to be honest. I think he's just a better gamer than his opponents, just brings that awkward rhythm for his opponents to deal with and time like they do in training. It's a really unique style that exploits how similar mma training is from his opponents. You have to really have good power or a perfect gameplan to do deal with his pressure.
